What Mark 11:7 means
The disciples brought the colt to Jesus, placing their cloaks on its back, and Jesus then sat upon it. This act of placing garments on the animal was a sign of honor and preparation for one of high standing. Jesus's deliberate choice to ride a young, unridden don't fulfill ancient prophecy (Zechariah 9:9), signifying His messianic identity and His approach as a humble yet rightful King to Jerusalem, not as a military conqueror.
