What does the Bible say about faith?

Faith in the Bible is trust in action. Hebrews 11 — the great 'faith chapter' — defines it as 'the assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen,' then walks through a roll call of people who lived as if God's promises were true. Faith is not the absence of doubt; it is choosing to trust in spite of it.

Without faith it is impossible to please God.
