What does the Bible say about peace?

Biblical peace is more than the absence of conflict — it is the Hebrew shalom, wholeness. Jesus offers a peace 'not as the world gives,' and Paul promises a peace 'that surpasses all understanding.' Scripture treats peace as something both received from God and pursued with others.

My peace I give to you.
