1So that, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, thus stand fast in [the] Lord, beloved.
1So my brothers, well loved and very dear to me, my joy and crown, be strong in the Lord, my loved ones.
1Therefore my dearly beloved brethren and most desired, my joy and my crown: so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
1So then, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand ye in the Lord, beloved.
2I exhort Euodia, and exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in [the] Lord;
2I make request to Euodias and Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.
2I beg of Evodia and I beseech Syntyche to be of one mind in the Lord.
2Euodia I exhort, and Syntyche I exhort, to be of the same mind in the Lord;
3yea, I ask thee also, true yokefellow, assist them, who have contended along with me in the glad tidings, with Clement also, and my other fellow-labourers, whose names [are] in [the] book of life.
3And I make request to you, true helper in my work, to see to the needs of those women who took part with me in the good news, with Clement and the rest of my brother-workers whose names are in the book of life.
3And I entreat thee also, my sincere companion, help those women who have laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement and the rest of my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life.
3and I ask also thee, genuine yoke-fellow, be assisting those women who in the good news did strive along with me, with Clement also, and the others, my fellow-workers, whose names <FI>are<Fi> in the book of life.
4Rejoice in [the] Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.
4Be glad in the Lord at all times: again I say, Be glad.
4Rejoice in the Lord always: again, I say, rejoice.
4Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice;
5Let your gentleness be known of all men. The Lord [is] near.
5Let your gentle behaviour be clear to all men. The Lord is near.
5Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is nigh.
5let your forbearance be known to all men; the Lord <FI>is<Fi> near;
6Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known toGod;
6Have no cares; but in everything with prayer and praise put your requests before God.
6Be nothing solicitous: but in every thing, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God.
6for nothing be anxious, but in everything by prayer, and by supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God;
7and the peace ofGod, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus.
7And the peace of God, which is deeper than all knowledge, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
7And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
7and the peace of God, that is surpassing all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
8For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things [are] true, whatsoever things [are] noble, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] amiable, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue and if any praise, think on these things.
8For the rest, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatever things are of value, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, give thought to these things.
8For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline: think on these things.
8As to the rest, brethren, as many things as are true, as many as <FI>are<Fi> grave, as many as <FI>are<Fi> righteous, as many as <FI>are<Fi> pure, as many as <FI>are<Fi> lovely, as many as <FI>are<Fi> of good report, if any worthiness, and if any praise, these things think upon;
9What ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and theGod of peace shall be with you.
9The things which came to you by my teaching and preaching, and which you saw in me, these things do, and the God of peace will be with you.
9The things which you have both learned and received and heard and seen in me, these do ye: and the God of peace shall be with you.
9the things that also ye did learn, and receive, and hear, and saw in me, those do, and the God of the peace shall be with you.
10But I rejoiced in [the] Lord greatly, that now however at length ye have revived your thinking of me, though surely ye did also think [of me], but lacked opportunity.
10But I am very glad in the Lord that your care for me has come to life again; though you did in fact take thought for me, but you were not able to give effect to it.
10Now I rejoice in the Lord exceedingly that now at length your thought for me hath flourished again, as you did also think; but you were busied.
10And I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at length ye flourished again in caring for me, for which also ye were caring, and lacked opportunity;
11Not that I speak as regards privation, for as to me I have learnt in those circumstances in which I am, to be satisfied in myself.
11But I will not say anything about my needs, for I am able, wherever I am, to be dependent on myself.
11I speak not as it were for want. For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, to be content therewith.
11not that in respect of want I say <FI>it<Fi> , for I did learn in the things in which I am--to be content;
12I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am initiated both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer privation.
12It is the same to me if I am looked down on or honoured; everywhere and in all things I have the secret of how to be full and how to go without food; how to have wealth and how to be in need.
12I know both how to be brought low, and I know how to abound (every where and in all things I am instructed): both to be full and to be hungry: both to abound and to suffer need.
12I have known both to be abased, and I have known to abound; in everything and in all things I have been initiated, both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in want.
13I have strength for all things in him that gives me power.
13I am able to do all things through him who gives me strength.
13I can do all things in him who strengtheneth me.
13For all things I have strength, in Christ's strengthening me;
14But ye have done well in taking part in my affliction.
14But you did well to have care for me in my need.
14Nevertheless, you have done well in communicating to my tribulation.
14but ye did well, having communicated with my tribulation;
15And know also ye, O Philippians, that in [the] beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated [anything] to me in [the] way of giving and receiving save ye alone;
15And you have knowledge, Philippians, that when the good news first came to you, when I went away from Macedonia, no church took part with me in the business of giving to the saints, but you only;
15And you also know, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only.
15and ye have known, even ye Philippians, that in the beginning of the good news when I went forth from Macedonia, no assembly did communicate with me in regard to giving and receiving except ye only;
16for also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need.
16Because even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to me in my need.
16For unto Thessalonica also you sent once and again for my use.
16because also in Thessalonica, both once and again to my need ye sent;
17Not that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account.
17Not that I am looking for an offering, but for fruit which may be put to your credit.
17Not that I seek the gift: but I seek the fruit that may abound to your account.
17not that I seek after the gift, but I seek after the fruit that is overflowing to your account;
18But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things [sent] from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable toGod.
18I have all things and more than enough: I am made full, having had from Epaphroditus the things which came from you, a perfume of a sweet smell, an offering well pleasing to God.
18But I have all and abound: I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things you sent, an odour of sweetness, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
18and I have all things, and abound; I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things from you--an odour of a sweet smell--a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God:
19But myGod shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
19And my God will give you all you have need of from the wealth of his glory in Christ Jesus.
19And may my God supply all your want, according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
19and my God shall supply all your need, according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus;
20But to ourGod and Father [be] glory to the ages of ages. Amen.
20Now to God our Father be glory for ever and ever. So be it.
20Now to God and our Father be glory, world without end. Amen.
20and to God, even our Father, <FI>is<Fi> the glory--to the ages of the ages. Amen.
21Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who [are] with me salute you.
21Give words of love to every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send you their love.
21Salute ye every saint in Christ Jesus.
21Salute ye every saint in Christ Jesus; there salute you the brethren with me;
22All the saints salute you, and specially those of the household of Caesar.
22All the saints send their love to you, specially those who are of Caesar's house.
22The brethren who are with me salute you. All the saints salute you: especially they that are of Caesar's household.
22there salute you all the saints, and specially those of Caesar's house;
