1Now concerning the collections that are made for the saints: as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, so do ye also.
1Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the assemblies of Galatia, so do ye do also.
1And concerning the collection that <FI>is<Fi> for the saints, as I directed to the assemblies of Galatia, so also ye--do ye;
2On the first day of the week, let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him: that when I come, the collections be not then to be made.
2On [the] first of [the] week let each of you put by at home, laying up [in] whatever [degree] he may have prospered, that there may be no collections when I come.
2on every first <FI>day<Fi> of the week, let each one of you lay by him, treasuring up whatever he may have prospered, that when I may come then collections may not be made;
3And when I shall be with you, whomsoever you shall approve by letters, them will I send to carry your grace to Jerusalem.
3And when I am arrived, whomsoever ye shall approve, these I will send with letters to carry your bounty to Jerusalem:
3and whenever I may come, whomsoever ye may approve, through letters, these I will send to carry your favour to Jerusalem;
4And if it be meet that I also go, they shall go with me.
4and if it be suitable that I also should go, they shall go with me.
4and if it be meet for me also to go, with me they shall go.
5Now I will come to you, when I shall have passed through Macedonia. For I shall pass through Macedonia.
5But I will come to you when I shall have gone through Macedonia; for I do go through Macedonia.
5And I will come unto you, when I pass through Macedonia--for Macedonia I do pass through--
6And with you perhaps I shall abide, or even spend the winter: that you may bring me on my way whithersoever I shall go.
6But perhaps I will stay with you, or even winter with you, that ye may set me forward wheresoever I may go.
6and with you, it may be, I will abide, or even winter, that ye may send me forward whithersoever I go,
7For I will not see you now by the way: for I trust that I shall abide with you some time, if the Lord permit.
7For I will not see you now in passing, for I hope to remain a certain time with you, if the Lord permit.
7for I do not wish to see you now in the passing, but I hope to remain a certain time with you, if the Lord may permit;
8But I will tarry at Ephesus, until Pentecost.
8But I remain in Ephesus until Pentecost.
8and I will remain in Ephesus till the Pentecost,
9For a great door and evident is opened unto me: and many adversaries.
9For a great door is opened to me and an effectual [one], and [the] adversaries many.
9for a door to me hath been opened--great and effectual--and withstanders <FI>are<Fi> many.
10Now if Timothy come, see that he be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.
10Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear; for he works the work of the Lord, even as I.
10And if Timotheus may come, see that he may become without fear with you, for the work of the Lord he doth work, even as I,
11Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct ye him on his way in peace, that he may come to me. For I look for him with the brethren.
11Let not therefore any one despise him; but set him forward in peace, that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.
11no one, then, may despise him; and send ye him forward in peace, that he may come to me, for I expect him with the brethren;
12And touching our brother Apollo, I give you to understand that I much entreated him to come unto you with the brethren: and indeed it was not his will at all to come at this time. But he will come when he shall have leisure.
12Now concerning the brother Apollos, I begged him much that he would go to you with the brethren; but it was not at all [his] will to go now; but he will come when he shall have good opportunity.
12and concerning Apollos our brother, much I did entreat him that he may come unto you with the brethren, and it was not at all <FI>his<Fi> will that he may come now, and he will come when he may find convenient.
13Watch ye: stand fast in the faith: do manfully and be strengthened.
13Be vigilant; stand fast in the faith; quit yourselves like men; be strong.
13Watch ye, stand in the faith; be men, be strong;
14Let all your things be done in charity.
14Let all things ye do be done in love.
14let all your things be done in love.
15And I beseech you, brethren, you know the house of Stephanus, and of Fortunatus, and of Achaicus, that they are the firstfruits of Achaia, and have dedicated themselves to the ministry of the saints:
15But I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruits of Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the saints for service,)
15And I entreat you, brethren, ye have known the household of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruit of Achaia, and to the ministration to the saints they did set themselves--
16That you also be subject to such and to every one that worketh with us and laboureth.
16that ye should also be subject to such, and to every one joined in the work and labouring.
16that ye also be subject to such, and to every one who is working with <FI>us<Fi> and labouring;
17And I rejoice in the presence of Stephanus and Fortunatus and Achaicus: because that which was wanting on your part, they have supplied.
17But I rejoice in the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus; because they have supplied what was lacking on your part.
17and I rejoice over the presence of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because the lack of you did these fill up;
18For they have refreshed both my spirit and yours. Know them, therefore, that are such.
18For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: own therefore such.
18for they did refresh my spirit and yours; acknowledge ye, therefore, those who <FI>are<Fi> such.
19The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house, with whom I also lodge.
19The assemblies of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla, with the assembly in their house, salute you much in [the] Lord.
19Salute you do the assemblies of Asia; salute you much in the Lord do Aquilas and Priscilla, with the assembly in their house;
20All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.
20All the brethren salute you. Salute one another with a holy kiss.
20salute you do all the brethren; salute ye one another in an holy kiss.
21The salutation of me Paul, with my own hand.
21The salutation of [me] Paul with my own hand.
21The salutation of <FI>me<Fi> Paul with my hand;
22If any man love not our Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, maranatha.
22If any one love not the Lord [Jesus Christ] let him be Anathema Maranatha.
22if any one doth not love the Lord Jesus Christ--let him be anathema! The Lord hath come!
