What does the Bible say about healing?

Healing in scripture is physical, emotional, and spiritual — and God is named as the source of all three. The Psalms call him 'the God who heals.' Jesus' ministry is shot through with healing miracles. James instructs the church to pray for the sick. The Bible never promises a pain-free life, but it consistently presents healing as part of God's character and good purposes.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
