What Revelation 15:8 means
The temple fills with smoke from God’s glory and power, making entry impossible until the seven plagues run their course. This is a theophany—God manifesting His unapproachable majesty. At times of dedication in Scripture, the cloud of glory fills the sanctuary; here, the same glory seals it during judgment. No creature may intrude to halt or soften what God has determined. Intercession gives way to execution; the time of delay is over. The scene insists that these judgments are God’s own work, unstoppable and holy, and must be completed before access is restored.

Context
The chapter closes with a solemn sign from the opened temple (verses 5–7). Once the angels receive the bowls, God’s manifested glory fills the sanctuary, barring entry. This signals that the preparatory stage has ended and that nothing will interrupt the final sequence of judgments. It functions as a hinge to Revelation 16, where the bowls are poured out. Readers are left with the weight of God’s holiness and the certainty of His decrees, framed by the prior vision of worship and victory.
v.7And one of the four living creatures gave unto the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
