Context

Following the tender promise of God's presence and help in verse 10, this verse transitions to the practical outworking of that assistance: the elimination of Israel's enemies. It offers a strong guarantee of victory and vindication, directly addressing the threats and opposition Israel faced. This promise of their adversaries' defeat prepares the way for the even more absolute disappearance of their foes in the next verse.

v.10fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

v.11This passage

v.12Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contend with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
