1Christ has truly made us free: then keep your free condition and let no man put a yoke on you again.
1In the freedom, then, with which Christ did make you free--stand ye, and be not held fast again by a yoke of servitude;
1Stand fast and be not held again under the yoke of bondage.
2See, I Paul say to you, that if you undergo circumcision, Christ will be of no use to you.
2lo, I Paul do say to you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing;
2Behold, I Paul tell you, that if you be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3Yes, I give witness again to every man who undergoes circumcision, that he will have to keep all the law.
3and I testify again to every man circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law;
3And I testify again to every man circumcising himself that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4You are cut off from Christ, you who would have righteousness by the law; you are turned away from grace.
4ye were freed from the Christ, ye who in law are declared righteous; from the grace ye fell away;
4You are made void of Christ, you who are justified in the law: you are fallen from grace.
5For we through the Spirit by faith are waiting for the hope of righteousness.
5for we by the Spirit, by faith, a hope of righteousness do wait for,
5For we in spirit, by faith, wait for the hope of justice.
6Because in Christ Jesus, having circumcision or not having circumcision are equally of no profit; but only faith working through love.
6for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith through love working.
6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing nor uncircumcision: but faith that worketh by Charity.
7You were going on well; who was the cause of your not giving ear to what is true?
7Ye were running well; who did hinder you--not to obey the truth?
7You did run well. What hath hindered you, that you should not obey the truth?
8This ready belief did not come from him who had made you his.

9A little leaven makes a change in all the mass.

10I am certain about you in the Lord, that you will be of no other mind; but he who is troubling you will have his punishment, whoever he is.
10I have confidence in regard to you in the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded; and he who is troubling you shall bear the judgment, whoever he may be.
10I have confidence in you in the Lord that you will not be of another mind: but he that troubleth you shall bear the judgment, whosoever he be.
11But I, brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still attacked? then has the shame of the cross been taken away.
11And I, brethren, if uncircumcision I yet preach, why yet am I persecuted? then hath the stumbling-block of the cross been done away;
11And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? Then is the scandal of the cross made void.
12My desire is that they who give you trouble might even be cut off themselves.
12O that even they would cut themselves off who are unsettling you!
12I would they were even cut off, who trouble you.
13Because you, brothers, were marked out to be free; only do not make use of your free condition to give the flesh its chance, but through love be servants one to another.
13For ye--to freedom ye were called, brethren, only not the freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through the love serve ye one another,
13For you, brethren, have been called unto liberty. Only make not liberty an occasion to the flesh: but by charity of the spirit serve one another.
14For all the law is made complete in one word, even in this, Have love for your neighbour as for yourself.

18But if you are guided by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19Now the works of the flesh are clear, which are these: evil desire, unclean things, wrong use of the senses,

21Envy, uncontrolled drinking and feasting, and such things: of which I give you word clearly, even as I did in the past, that they who do such things will have no part in the kingdom of God.

22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, a quiet mind, kind acts, well-doing, faith,

22But the fruit of the Spirit is, charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity,
23Gentle behaviour, control over desires: against such there is no law.

23Mildness, faith, modesty, continency, chastity. Against such there is no law.
24And those who are Christ's have put to death on the cross the flesh with its passions and its evil desires.
