What does the Bible say about joy?
Joy in scripture is durable in a way happiness is not. Paul writes about joy from prison. James tells believers to 'count it all joy' when they meet trials. Jesus' joy, John says, was something he wanted his followers to share. Biblical joy is fed by what is true about God, not by what is comfortable about circumstances.
The joy of the LORD is your strength.
