What Revelation 7:15 means

Because of the Lamb’s cleansing, they stand “before the throne of God” and serve him “day and night in his temple.” Their life is now unbroken worship and priestly service. “He that sitteth on the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them”—God himself becomes their sheltering presence. What once was foreshadowed in Israel’s tabernacle is now fulfilled as God covers his redeemed with protective fellowship. Nearness, service, and shelter define their blessed estate. Salvation is not only escape from wrath; it is entrance into God’s immediate presence under his guarding canopy of grace.

Context

Having explained who the multitude is, the text now unfolds the “therefore”—their privileges before God. This verse introduces themes of proximity, service, and divine shelter that will be fleshed out in the next two verses with concrete negatives (no hunger, thirst, scorching heat) and positives (the Lamb’s shepherding, living waters, wiped-away tears). The flow moves from status to experience, from position before God to the comforts they enjoy.

v.14And I say unto him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they that come out of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

v.15This passage

v.16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun strike upon them, nor any heat:
