1And I saw an angel descending from the heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain in his hand.
1And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
1And I saw a messenger coming down out of the heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain over his hand,
2And he laid hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent who is [the] devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
2And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
2and he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, who is Devil and Adversary, and did bind him a thousand years,
3and cast him into the abyss, and shut [it] and sealed [it] over him, that he should not any more deceive the nations until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be loosed for a little time.
3And he cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal upon him, that he should no more seduce the nations till the thousand years be finished. And after that, he must be loosed a little time.
3and he cast him to the abyss, and did shut him up, and put a seal upon him, that he may not lead astray the nations any more, till the thousand years may be finished; and after these it behoveth him to be loosed a little time.
4And I saw thrones; and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them; and the souls of those beheaded on account of the testimony of Jesus, and on account of the word ofGod; and those who had not done homage to the beast nor to his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and hand; and they lived and reigned with the Christ a thousand years:
4And I saw seats. And they sat upon them: and judgment was given unto them. And the souls of them that were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God and who had not adored the beast nor his image nor received his character on their foreheads or in their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them, and the souls of those who have been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus, and because of the word of God, and who did not bow before the beast, nor his image, and did not receive the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand, and they did live and reign with Christ the thousand years;
5the rest of the dead did not live till the thousand years had been completed. This [is] the first resurrection.
5The rest of the dead lived not, till the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
5and the rest of the dead did not live again till the thousand years may be finished; this <FI>is<Fi> the first rising again.
6Blessed and holy he who has part in the first resurrection: over these the second death has no power; but they shall be priests ofGod and of the Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. In these the second death hath no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ: and shall reign with him a thousand years.
6Happy and holy <FI>is<Fi> he who is having part in the first rising again; over these the second death hath not authority, but they shall be priests of God and of the Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7And when the thousand years have been completed, Satan shall be loosed from his prison,
7And when the thousand years shall be finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison and shall go forth and seduce the nations which are over the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog: and shall gather them together to battle, the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
7And when the thousand years may be finished, the Adversary shall be loosed out of his prison,
8and shall go out to deceive the nations which [are] in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war, whose number [is] as the sand of the sea.
8And they came upon the breadth of the earth and encompassed the camp of the saints and the beloved city.
8and he shall go forth to lead the nations astray, that are in the four corners of the earth--Gog and Magog--to gather them together to war, of whom the number <FI>is<Fi> as the sand of the sea;
9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city: and fire came down [fromGod] out of the heaven and devoured them.
9And there came down fire from God out of heaven and devoured them: and the devil, who seduced them, was cast into the pool of fire and brimstone, where both the beast
9and they did go up over the breadth of the land, and did surround the camp of the saints, and the beloved city, and there came down fire from God out of the heaven, and devoured them;
10And the devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where [are] both the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for the ages of ages.
10And the false prophet shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
10and the Devil, who is leading them astray, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where <FI>are<Fi> the beast and the false prophet, and they shall be tormented day and night--to the ages of the ages.
11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled, and place was not found for them.
11And I saw a great white throne and one sitting upon it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away: and there was no place found for them
11And I saw a great white throne, and Him who is sitting upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven did flee away, and place was not found for them;
12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is [that] of life. And the dead were judged out of the things written in the books according to their works.
12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in the presence of the throne. And the books were opened: and another book was opened, which was the book of life. And the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
12and I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and scrolls were opened, and another scroll was opened, which is that of the life, and the dead were judged out of the things written in the scrolls--according to their works;
13And the sea gave up the dead which [were] in it, and death and hades gave up the dead which [were] in them; and they were judged each according to their works:
13And the sea gave up the dead that were in it: and death and hell gave up their dead that were in them. And they were judged, every one according to their works.
13and the sea did give up those dead in it, and the death and the hades did give up the dead in them, and they were judged, each one according to their works;
