What Revelation 11:15 means
When the seventh angel sounds, a great chorus in heaven proclaims that the kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of the Lord and of His Christ, and that He will reign forever. This is the book’s climactic announcement of sovereignty realized. The world, long contested and corrupted, is now declared under God’s and Christ’s unending rule. The trumpet does not merely predict; it heralds inevitability. Even if judgments continue to unfold, the decisive transfer is announced. Christ is central—God’s anointed King. The everlasting nature of His reign assures weary believers that no rival will rise again once God completes His work.

Context
With the second woe concluded, the seventh trumpet breaks not with another plague but with heavenly proclamation. This verse states the theme; the following verses show the heavenly response. The twenty-four elders, who have appeared before, now fall and worship, offering thanks and interpreting what God’s reign means for history: judgment for rebels, reward for the faithful, and the final putting right of creation. This shift from earth to heaven’s perspective reorients readers under persecution to the certainty of God’s end.
