Psalms 99

1Jehovah hath reigned, peoples tremble, The Inhabitant of the cherubs, the earth shaketh.

1A psalm of praise.

1Jehovah reigneth: let the peoples tremble. He sitteth [between the] cherubim: let the earth be moved.

1The Lord is King; let the peoples be in fear: his seat is on the winged ones; let the earth be moved.

2Jehovah in Zion <FI>is<Fi> great, And high He <FI>is<Fi> over all the peoples.

2Sing joyfully to God, all the earth: serve ye the Lord with gladness. Come in before his presence with exceeding great joy.

2 Jehovah is great in Zion, and he is high above all the peoples.

2The Lord is great in Zion; he is high over all the nations.

3They praise Thy name, `Great, and fearful, holy <FI>it<Fi> is.'

3Know ye that the Lord he is God: he made us, and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

3 They shall praise thy great and terrible name, — it is holy! —

3Let them give praise to your name, for it is great and to be feared; holy is he.

4And the strength of the king Hath loved judgment, Thou--Thou hast established uprightness; Judgment and righteousness in Jacob, Thou--Thou hast done.

4Go ye into his gates with praise, into his courts with hymns: and give glory to him. Praise ye his name:

4 And the strength of the king that loveth justice. Thou hast established equity: it is thou that executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

4The king's power is used for righteousness; you give true decisions, judging rightly in the land of Jacob.

5Exalt ye Jehovah our God, And bow yourselves at His footstool, holy <FI>is<Fi> He.

5For the Lord is sweet, his mercy endureth for ever, and his truth to generation and generation.

5 Exalt Jehovah ourGod, and worship at his footstool. He is holy!

5Give high honour to the Lord our God, worshipping at his feet; holy is he.

6Moses and Aaron among His priests, And Samuel among those proclaiming His name. They are calling unto Jehovah, And He doth answer them.

8O Jehovah, our God, Thou hast afflicted them, A God forgiving Thou hast been to them, And taking vengeance on their actions.

8 Jehovah, ourGod, thou answeredst them: a forgivingGod wast thou unto them, though thou tookest vengeance of their doings.

8You gave them an answer, O Lord our God; you took away their sin, though you gave them punishment for their wrongdoing.

9Exalt ye Jehovah our God, And bow yourselves at His holy hill, For holy <FI>is<Fi> Jehovah our God!

9 Exalt Jehovah ourGod, and worship at the hill of his holiness; for holy is Jehovah ourGod.

9Give high honour to the Lord our God, worshipping with your faces turned to his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.
