12'So I let them follow their own stubborn hearts, to do whatever they thought was best.'

13Oh that my people would hearken unto me, That Israel would walk in my ways!

13'Oh, how I wish my people would listen to me, and that Israel would follow my ways!'

14I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn my hand against their adversaries.

14'I would quickly defeat their enemies and turn my power against those who oppose them.'

15The haters of Jehovah should submit themselves unto him: But their time should endure for ever.

15'Those who hate the Lord would bow down in fear before him; their punishment would last forever.',

16He would feed them also with the finest of the wheat; And with honey out of the rock would I satisfy thee.

16'But I would feed you with the very best wheat; I would satisfy you with honey taken straight from the rock.'
