1O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

1 O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth, Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!

1Unto the end, for the presses: a psalm for David.

1 O Lord, our Lord, whose glory is higher than the heavens, how noble is your name in all the earth!

2Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

2Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, Because of thine adversaries, That thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

2O Lord, our Lord, how admirable is thy name in the whole earth! For thy magnificence is elevated above the heavens.

2You have made clear your strength even out of the mouths of babies at the breast, because of those who are against you; so that you may put to shame the cruel and violent man.

3When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

3When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

3Out of the mouth of infants and of sucklings thou hast perfected praise, because of thy enemies, that thou mayst destroy the enemy and the avenger.

3When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have put in their places;

4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

4For I will behold thy heavens, the works of thy fingers: the moon and the stars which thou hast founded.

4What is man, that you keep him in mind? the son of man, that you take him into account?

5For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

5For thou hast made him but little lower than God, And crownest him with glory and honor.

5What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5For you have made him only a little lower than the gods, crowning him with glory and honour.

6Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

6Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet:

6Thou hast made him a little less than the angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honour:

6You have made him ruler over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet;

7All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

7All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field,

7And hast set him over the works of thy hands.

7All sheep and oxen, and all the beasts of the field;

8The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

8The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, Whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

8Thou hast subjected all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen: moreover, the beasts also of the fields.

8The birds of the air and the fish of the sea, and whatever goes through the deep waters of the seas.

9O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

9O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth!

9The birds of the air, and the fishes of the sea, that pass through the paths of the sea.

9O Lord, our Lord, how noble is your name in all the earth!
