1Unto the end, in hymns, a psalm of a canticle for David.
1 Shout aloud untoGod, all the earth:
1To the Overseer. --A Song, a Psalm. Shout ye to God, all the earth.
1Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
2May God have mercy on us, and bless us: may he cause the light of his countenance to shine upon us, and may he have mercy on us.
2 Sing forth the glory of his name, make his praise glorious;
2Praise ye the honour of His name, Make ye honourable His praise.
2Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
3That we may know thy way upon earth: thy salvation in all nations.
3 Say untoGod, How terrible are thy works! because of the greatness of thy strength, thine enemies come cringing unto thee.
3Say to God, `How fearful <FI>are<Fi> Thy works, By the abundance of Thy strength, Thine enemies feign obedience to Thee.
3Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
4Let people confess to thee, O God: let all people give praise to thee.
4 All the earth shall worship thee, and sing psalms unto thee: they shall sing forth thy name. Selah.
4All the earth do bow to Thee, They sing praise to Thee, they praise Thy name.' Selah.
4All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
5Let the nations be glad and rejoice: for thou judgest the people with justice, and directest the nations upon earth.
5 Come and see the works ofGod: he is terrible in [his] doings toward the children of men.
5Come ye, and see the works of God, Fearful acts toward the sons of men.
5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
6Let the people, O God, confess to thee: let all the people give praise to thee:
6 He turned the sea into dry [land]; they went through the river on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
6He hath turned a sea to dry land, Through a river they pass over on foot, There do we rejoice in Him.
6He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
7The earth hath yielded her fruit. May God, our God bless us,
7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes observe the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
7Ruling by His might to the age, His eyes among the nations do watch, The refractory exalt not themselves. Selah.
7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
8May God bless us: and all the ends of the earth fear him.
8 Bless ourGod, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;
8Bless, ye peoples, our God, And sound the voice of His praise,
8O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
