1 Hear my cry, O God; Attend unto my prayer.
1 Let my cry come to you, O God; let your ears be open to my prayer.
1Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of David.
1Hear my cry, O God; Attend unto my prayer.
2From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
2From the end of the earth will I send up my cry to you, when my heart is overcome: take me to the rock which is over-high for me.
2Shall not my soul be subject to God? for from him is my salvation.
2From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3For thou hast been a refuge for me, A strong tower from the enemy.
3For you have been my secret place, and my high tower from those who made war on me.
3For he is my God and my saviour: he is my protector, I shall be moved no more.
3For thou hast been a refuge for me, A strong tower from the enemy.
4I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever: I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. [Selah
4I will make your tent my resting-place for ever: I will keep myself under the cover of your wings. (Selah.)
4How long do you rush in upon a man? you all kill, as if you were thrusting down a leaning wall, and a tottering fence.
4I will dwell in thy tabernacle for ever: I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. [Selah
5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: Thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
5For you, O God, have made answer to my prayers; you have given me the heritage of those who give honour to your name.
5But they have thought to cast away my price; I ran in thirst: they blessed with their mouth, but cursed with their heart.
5For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: Thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
6Thou wilt prolong the king’s life; His years shall be as many generations.
6You will give the king long life; and make his years go on through the generations.
6But be thou, O my soul, subject to God: for from him is my patience.
6Thou wilt prolong the king’s life; His years shall be as many generations.
7He shall abide before God for ever: Oh prepare lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
7May the seat of his authority be before God for ever; may mercy and righteousness keep him safe.
7For he is my God and my saviour: he is my helper, I shall not be moved.
7He shall abide before God for ever: Oh prepare lovingkindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, That I may daily perform my vows.
8So will I make songs in praise of your name for ever, giving to God that which is right day by day.
8In God is my salvation and my glory: he is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.
8So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, That I may daily perform my vows.
