1The earth is Jehovah’s, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein.

1Unto the end, a psalm for David. To thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul.

1A Psalm of David. To Jehovah <FI>is<Fi> the earth and its fulness, The world and the inhabitants in it.

1 The earth is the Lord's, with all its wealth; the world and all the people living in it.

2For he hath founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the floods.

2In thee, O my God, I put my trust; let me not be ashamed.

2For He on the seas hath founded it, And on the floods He doth establish it.

2For by him it was based on the seas, and made strong on the deep rivers.

3Who shall ascend into the hill of Jehovah? And who shall stand in his holy place?

3Neither let my enemies laugh at me: for none of them that wait on thee shall be confounded.

3Who goeth up into the hill of Jehovah? And who riseth up in His holy place?

3Who may go up into the hill of the Lord? and who may come into his holy place?

4He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; Who hath not lifted up his soul unto falsehood, And hath not sworn deceitfully.

4Let all them be confounded that act unjust things without cause. Shew, O Lord, thy ways to me, and teach me thy paths.

4The clean of hands, and pure of heart, Who hath not lifted up to vanity his soul, Nor hath sworn to deceit.

4He who has clean hands and a true heart; whose desire has not gone out to foolish things, who has not taken a false oath.

5He shall receive a blessing from Jehovah, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

5Direct me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art God my Saviour; and on thee have I waited all the day long.

5He beareth away a blessing from Jehovah, Righteousness from the God of his salvation.

5He will have blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6This is the generation of them that seek after him, That seek thy face, even Jacob. [Selah

6Remember, O Lord, thy bowels of compassion; and thy mercies that are from the beginning of the world.

6This <FI>is<Fi> a generation of those seeking Him. Seeking Thy face, O Jacob! Selah.

6This is the generation of those whose hearts are turned to you, even to your face, O God of Jacob. (Selah.)

7Lift up your heads, O ye gates; And be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors: And the King of glory will come in.

7The sins of my youth and my ignorances do not remember. According to thy mercy remember thou me: for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.

7Lift up, O gates, your heads, And be lifted up, O doors age-during, And come in doth the king of glory!

7Let your heads be lifted up, O doors; be lifted up, O you eternal doors: that the King of glory may come in.

8Who is the King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle.

8The Lord is sweet and righteous: therefore he will give a law to sinners in the way.

8Who <FI>is<Fi> this--`the king of glory?' Jehovah--strong and mighty, Jehovah, the mighty in battle.

8Who is the King of glory? The Lord of strength and power, the Lord strong in war.

9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; Yea, lift them up, ye everlasting doors: And the King of glory will come in.

9He will guide the mild in judgment: he will teach the meek his ways.

9Lift up, O gates, your heads, And be lifted up, O doors age-during, And come in doth the king of glory!

9Let your heads be lifted up, O doors; let them be lifted up, O you eternal doors: that the King of glory may come in.

10Who is this King of glory? Jehovah of hosts, He is the King of glory. [Selah

10All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth, to them that seek after his covenant and his testimonies.

10Who <FI>is<Fi> He--this `king of glory?' Jehovah of hosts--He <FI>is<Fi> the king of glory! Selah.

10Who is the King of glory? The Lord of armies, he is the King of glory. (Selah.)
