1Hallelujah! I will celebrate Jehovah with [my] whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the assembly.
1Praise ye Jah! I thank Jehovah with the whole heart, In the secret meeting of the upright, And of the company.
1Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
1Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments.
2 Great are the works of Jehovah; sought out of all that delight in them.
2Great <FI>are<Fi> the works of Jehovah, Sought out by all desiring them.
2The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
3 His work is majesty and splendour, and his righteousness abideth for ever.
3Honourable and majestic is His work, And His righteousness is standing for ever.
3His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
3Glory and wealth shall be in his house: and his justice remaineth for ever and ever.
4 He hath made his wonders to be remembered: Jehovah is gracious and merciful.
4A memorial He hath made of His wonders, Gracious and merciful <FI>is<Fi> Jehovah.
4He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.
4To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: he is merciful, and compassionate and just.
5 He hath given meat unto them that fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant.
5Prey He hath given to those fearing Him, He remembereth to the age His covenant.
5He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
5Acceptable is the man that sheweth mercy and lendeth: he shall order his words with judgment:
6 He hath shewn his people the power of his works, to give them the heritage of the nations.
6The power of His works He hath declared to His people, To give to them the inheritance of nations.
6He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.
6Because he shall not be moved for ever.
7 The works of his hands are truth and judgment; all his precepts are faithful:
7The works of His hands <FI>are<Fi> true and just, Stedfast <FI>are<Fi> all His appointments.
7The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
7The just shall be in everlasting remembrance: he shall not fear the evil hearing. His heart is ready to hope in the Lord:
8 Maintained for ever and ever, done in truth and uprightness.
8They are sustained for ever to the age. They are made in truth and uprightness.
8They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
8His heart is strengthened, he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies.
9 He sent deliverance unto his people; he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and terrible is his name.
9Redemption He hath sent to His people, He hath appointed to the age His covenant, Holy and fearful <FI>is<Fi> His name.
9He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.
9He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever and ever: his horn shall be exalted in glory.
10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do [his precepts]: his praise abideth for ever.
10The beginning of wisdom <FI>is<Fi> fear of Jehovah, Good understanding have all doing them, His praise <FI>is<Fi> standing for ever!
10The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
10The wicked shall see, and shall be angry, he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
