1Jehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

1I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; in the council of the just, and in the congregation.

1A Psalm of David. The affirmation of Jehovah to my Lord: `Sit at My right hand, Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.'

1 The Lord said to my lord, Be seated at my right hand, till I put all those who are against you under your feet.

2Jehovah will send forth the rod of thy strength out of Zion: Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

2Great are the works of the Lord: sought out according to all his wills.

2The rod of thy strength doth Jehovah send from Zion, Rule in the midst of thine enemies.

2The Lord will send out the rod of your strength from Zion; be king over your haters.

3Thy people offer themselves willingly In the day of thy power, in holy array: Out of the womb of the morning Thou hast the dew of thy youth.

3His work is praise and magnificence: and his justice continueth for ever and ever.

3Thy people <FI>are<Fi> free-will gifts in the day of Thy strength, in the honours of holiness, From the womb, from the morning, Thou hast the dew of thy youth.

3Your people give themselves gladly in the day of your power; like the dew of the morning on the holy mountains is the army of your young men.

4Jehovah hath sworn, and will not repent: Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek.

4He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord:

4Jehovah hath sworn, and doth not repent, `Thou <FI>art<Fi> a priest to the age, According to the order of Melchizedek.'

4The Lord has made an oath, and will not take it back. You are a priest for ever, after the order of Melchizedek.

5The Lord at thy right hand Will strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

5He hath given food to them that fear him. He will be mindful for ever of his covenant:

5The Lord on thy right hand smote kings In the day of His anger.

5In the day of his wrath kings will be wounded by the Lord at your right hand.

6He will judge among the nations, He will fillthe placeswith dead bodies; He will strike through the head in many countries.

6He will shew forth to his people the power of his works.

6He doth judge among the nations, He hath completed the carcases, Hath smitten the head over the mighty earth.

6He will be judge among the nations, the valleys will be full of dead bodies; the head over a great country will be wounded by him.

7He will drink of the brook in the way: Therefore will he lift up the head.

7That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: the works of his hands are truth and judgment.

7From a brook in the way he drinketh, Therefore he doth lift up the head!

7He will take of the stream by the way; so his head will be lifted up.
