Numbers 34

1And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

2Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to the borders thereof),

2`Command the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye are coming in unto the land of Canaan--this <FI>is<Fi> the land which falleth to you by inheritance, the land of Canaan, by its borders--

2Give orders to the children of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land which is to be your heritage, the land of Canaan inside these limits,)

2Command the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: When you are entered into the land of Chanaan, and it shall be fallen into your possession by lot, it shall be bounded by these limits:

3then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the side of Edom, and your south border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward;

3then hath the south quarter been to you from the wilderness of Zin, by the sides of Edom, yea, the south border hath been to you from the extremity of the Salt Sea, eastward;

3Then your south quarter will be from the waste land of Zin by the side of Edom, and your limit on the south will be from the east end of the Salt Sea,

3The south side shall begin from the wilderness of Sin, which is by Edom: and shall have the most salt sea for its furthest limits eastward:

4and your border shall turn about southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass along to Zin; and the goings out thereof shall be southward of Kadesh-barnea; and it shall go forth to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon;

4and the border hath turned round to you from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and hath passed on to Zin, and its outgoings have been from the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and it hath gone out at Hazar-Addar, and hath passed on to Azmon;

4And round to the south of the slope of Akrabbim, and on to Zin: and its direction will be south of Kadesh-barnea, and it will go as far as Hazar-addar and on to Azmon:

4Which limits shall go round on the south side by the ascent of the Scorpion and so into Senna, and reach toward the south as far as Cadesbarne, from whence the frontiers shall go out to the town called Adar, and shall reach as far as Asemona.

5and the border shall turn about from Azmon unto the brook of Egypt, and the goings out thereof shall be at the sea.

5and the border hath turned round from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and its outgoings have been at the sea.

5And from Azmon it will go round to the stream of Egypt as far as the sea.

5And the limits shall fetch a compass from Asemona to the torrent of Egypt, and shall end in the shore of the great sea.

6And for the western border, ye shall have the great sea and the borderthereof: this shall be your west border.

6`As to the west border, even the great sea hath been to you a border; this is to you the west border.

6And for your limit on the west you will have the Great Sea and its edge: this will be your limit on the west.

6And the west side shall begin from the great sea, and the same shall be the end thereof.

7And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall mark out for you mount Hor;

7`And this is to you the north border: from the great sea ye mark out for yourselves mount Hor;

7And your limit on the north will be the line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor:

7But toward the north side the borders shall begin from the great sea, reaching to the most high mountain,

8from mount Hor ye shall mark out unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings out of the border shall be at Zedad;

8from mount Hor ye mark out to go in to Hamath, and the outgoings of the border have been to Zedad;

8And from Mount Hor the line will go in the direction of Hamath; the farthest point of it will be at Zedad:

8From which they shall come to Emath, as far as the borders of Sedada:

9and the border shall go forth to Ziphron, and the goings out thereof shall be at Hazar-enan: this shall be your north border.

9and the border hath gone out to Ziphron, and its outgoings have been at Hazar-Enan; this is to you the north border.

9And the limit will go on to Ziphron, with its farthest point at Hazar-enan: this will be your limit on the north.

9And the limits shall go as far as Zephrona, and the village of Enan. These shall be the borders on the north side.

10And ye shall mark out your east border from Hazar-enan to Shepham;

10`And ye have marked out for yourselves for the border eastward, from Hazar-Enan to Shepham;

10And on the east, your limit will be marked out from Hazar-enan to Shepham,

10From thence they shall mark out the grounds towards the east side from the village of Enan unto Sephama.

11and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;

11and the border hath gone down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east of Ain, and the border hath gone down, and hath smitten against the shoulder of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;

11Going down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain, and on as far as the east side of the sea of Chinnereth:

11And from Sephama the bounds shall go down to Rebla over against the fountain of Daphnis: from thence they shall come eastward to the sea of Cenereth,

12and the border shall go down to the Jordan, and the goings out thereof shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to the borders thereof round about.

12and the border hath gone down to the Jordan, and its outgoings have been at the Salt Sea; this is for you the land by its borders round about.'

12And so down to Jordan, stretching to the Salt Sea: all the land inside these limits will be yours.

12And shall reach as far as the Jordan, and at the last shall be closed in by the most salt sea. This shall be your land with its borders round about.

13And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which Jehovah hath commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe;

13And Moses commandeth the sons of Israel, saying, `This <FI>is<Fi> the land which ye inherit by lot, which Jehovah hath commanded to give to the nine tribes and the half of the tribe;

13And Moses gave orders to the children of Israel saying, This is the land which is to be your heritage, by the decision of the Lord, which by the Lord's order is to be given to the nine tribes and the half-tribe:

13And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: This shall be the land which you shall possess by lot, and which the Lord hath commanded to be given to the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.

14for the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their fathers’ houses, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their fathers’ houses, have received, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:

14for the tribe of the sons of Reuben have received, by the house of their fathers; and the tribe of the children of Gad, by the house of their fathers; and the half of the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance;

14For the tribe of the children of Reuben, by their fathers' families, and the tribe of the children of Gad, by their fathers' families, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, have been given their heritage:

14For the tribe of the children of Ruben by their families, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the number of their kindreds, and half of the tribe of Manasses,

15the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.

15the two tribes and the half of the tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan, <FI>near<Fi> Jericho, eastward, at the <FI>sun<Fi> -rising.'

15The two tribes and the half-tribe have been given their heritage on the other side of Jordan at Jericho, on the east looking to the dawn.

15That is, two tribes and a half, have received their portion beyond the Jordan over against Jericho at the east side.

16And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

17These are the names of the men that shall divide the land unto you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

18And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance.

18and one prince--one prince--for a tribe ye do take to give the land by inheritance.

18And you are to take one chief from every tribe to make the distribution of the land.

19And these are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

23Of the children of Joseph: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

23Of the children of Joseph of the tribe of Manasses, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

24And of the tribe of the children of Ephraim a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.

27And of the tribe of the children of Asher a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.

27and of the tribe of the sons of Asher, the prince Ahihud son of Shelomi;

27Of the tribe of Aser, Ahiud the son of Salomi.

28And of the tribe of the children of Naphtali a prince, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.

28and of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, the prince Pedahel son of Ammihud.'

28And of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, a chief, Pedahel, the son of Ammihud.

28Of the tribe of Nephtali: Phedael the son of Ammiud.

29These are they whom Jehovah commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

29These <FI>are<Fi> those whom Jehovah hath commanded to give the sons of Israel inheritance in the land of Canaan.

29These are they to whom the Lord gave orders to make the distribution of the heritage among the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

29These are they Whom the Lord hath commanded to divide the land of Chanaan to the children of Israel.
