1And these are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that Jehovah spoke with Moses on mount Sinai.
1Now these are the generations of Aaron and Moses, in the day when the word of the Lord came to Moses on Mount Sinai.
1And these <FI>are<Fi> births of Aaron and Moses, in the day of Jehovah's speaking with Moses in mount Sinai.
1These are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the Lord spoke to Moses in mount Sinai.
2And these are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
2These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the oldest, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2And these <FI>are<Fi> the names of the sons of Aaron: the first-born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar;
2And these the names of the sons of Aaron: his firstborn Nadab, then Abiu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
3These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, who were consecrated to exercise the priesthood.
3These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests, on whom the holy oil was put, who were marked out as priests.
3these <FI>are<Fi> the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whose hand he hath consecrated for acting as priest.
3These the names of the sons of Aaron the priests that were anointed, and whose hands were filled and consecrated, to do the functions of priesthood.
4And Nadab and Abihu died before Jehovah when they offered strange fire before Jehovah in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no sons; and Eleazar and Ithamar exercised the priesthood in the presence of Aaron their father.
4And Nadab and Abihu were put to death before the Lord when they made an offering of strange fire before the Lord, in the waste land of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar did the work of priests before Aaron their father.
4And Nadab dieth--Abihu also--before Jehovah, in their bringing near strange fire before Jehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and sons they had not; and Eleazar--Ithamar also--acteth as priest in the presence of Aaron their father.
4Now Nadab and Abiu died, without children, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the desert of Sinai: and Eleazar and Ithamar performed the priestly office in the presence of Aaron their father.
5And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
5And the Lord said to Moses,
5And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
5And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
6Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him;
6Make the tribe of Levi come near, and put them before Aaron the priest, to be his helpers,
6`Bring near the tribe of Levi, and thou hast caused it to stand before Aaron the priest, and they have served him,
6Bring the tribe of Levi, and make them stand in the sight of Aaron the priest to minister to him, and let them watch,
7and they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole assembly, before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.
7In order that they may be responsible to him and to all Israel for the care of the Tent of meeting, and to do the work of the House;
7and kept his charge, and the charge of all the company before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle;
7And observe whatsoever appertaineth to the service of the multitude before the tabernacle of the testimony,
8And they shall keep all the utensils of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.
8And they will have the care of all the vessels of the Tent of meeting, and will do for the children of Israel all the necessary work of the House.
8and they have kept all the vessels of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle;
8And let them keep the vessels of the tabernacle, serving in the ministry thereof.
9And thou shalt give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given to him out of the children of Israel.
9Give the Levites to Aaron and his sons; so that they may be his without question from among the children of Israel.
9and thou hast given the Levites to Aaron and to his sons; they are surely given to him out of the sons of Israel.
9And thou shalt give the Levites for a gift,
10And Aaron and his sons shalt thou appoint that they may attend to their priest's office; and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.
10And give orders that Aaron and his sons are to keep their place as priests; any strange person who comes near is to be put to death.
10`And Aaron and his sons thou dost appoint, and they have kept their priesthood, and the stranger who cometh near is put to death.'
10To Aaron and to his sons, to whom they are delivered by the children of Israel. But thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons over the service of priesthood. The stranger that approacheth to minister, shall be put to death.
11And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
11And the Lord said to Moses,
11And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
11And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
12And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of every firstborn that breaketh open the womb among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine;
12See, I have taken the Levites out of the children of Israel to be mine in place of the first sons of the children of Israel;
12`And I, lo, I have taken the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel instead of every first-born opening a womb among the sons of Israel, and the Levites have been Mine;
12I have taken the Levites from the children of Israel, for every firstborn that openeth the womb among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.
13for every firstborn is mine. On the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both of man and beast; mine shall they be: I am Jehovah.
13For all the first sons are mine; on the day when I put to death all the first sons in the land of Egypt, I took for myself every first male birth of man and beast. They are mine; I am the Lord.
13for Mine <FI>is<Fi> every first-born, in the day of My smiting every first-born in the land of Egypt I have sanctified to Myself every first-born in Israel, from man unto beast; Mine they are; I <FI>am<Fi> Jehovah.'
13For every firstborn is mine: since I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt: I have sanctified to myself whatsoever is firstborn in Israel both of man and beast, they are mine: I am the Lord.

40And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Number every first-born male of the sons of Israel from a son of a month and upward, and take up the number of their names;
40And the Lord said to Moses: Number the firstborn of the male sex of the children of Israel, from one month and upward, and thou shalt take the sum of them.
41And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am Jehovah) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites, instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.
41And give to me the Levites (I am the Lord) in place of the first sons of the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites in place of the first births among the cattle of the children of Israel.
41and thou hast taken the Levites for Me (I <FI>am<Fi> Jehovah), instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of every firstling among the cattle of the sons of Israel.'
41And thou shalt take the Levites to me for all the firstborn of the children of Israel, I am the Lord: and their cattle for all the firstborn of the cattle of the children of Israel:
42And Moses numbered, as Jehovah had commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel.
42So Moses had all the first sons among the children of Israel numbered, as the Lord said to him.
42And Moses numbereth, as Jehovah hath commanded him, all the first-born among the sons of Israel.
42Moses reckoned up, as the Lord had commanded, the firstborn of the children of Israel:
43And all the firstborn males, by the number of the names, from a month old and upward, according to their numbering, were twenty-two thousand two hundred and seventy-three.
43Every first son from a month old and over was numbered by name, and the number came to twenty-two thousand, two hundred and seventy-three.

44And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
44And the Lord said to Moses,
44And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
44And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
45Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am Jehovah.
45Take the Levites in place of all the first sons of the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites in place of their cattle; the Levites are to be mine; I am the Lord.
45`Take the Levites instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites have been Mine; I <FI>am<Fi> Jehovah.
45Take the Levites for the firstborn of the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites for their cattle, and the Levites shall be mine. I am the Lord.
46And for those that are to be ransomed, the two hundred and seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel, which are in excess over the Levites,
46And the price you have to give for the two hundred and seventy-three first sons of the children of Israel which are in addition to the number of the Levites,
46`And <FI>from<Fi> those ransomed of the two hundred and seventy and three (who are more than the Levites) of the first-born of the sons of Israel,
46But for the price of the two hundred and seventy-three, of the firstborn of the children of Israel, that exceed the number of the Levites,
47thou shalt take five shekels apiece by the poll, according to the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them, — twenty gerahs the shekel;
47Will be five shekels for every one, by the scale of the holy place (the shekel is twenty gerahs);
47thou hast even taken five shekels a-piece by the poll--by the shekel of the sanctuary thou takest; twenty gerahs the shekel <FI>is<Fi> ;
47Thou shalt take five sicles for every bead, according to the weight of the sanctuary. A sicle hath twenty obols.
48and thou shalt give the money unto Aaron and unto his sons for those in excess among them who are to be ransomed.
48And this money, the price of those over the number of the Levites, is to be given to Aaron and his sons.
48and thou hast given the money to Aaron, and to his sons, whereby those over and above are ransomed.'
48And thou shalt give the money to Aaron and his sons, the price of them that are above.
49And Moses took the ransom-money from them that were over and above those who were ransomed by the Levites;
49So Moses took the money, the price of those whose place had not been taken by the Levites;
49And Moses taketh the ransom money from those over and above those ransomed by the Levites;
49Moses therefore took the money of them that were above, and whom they had redeemed from the Levites,
50of the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, a thousand three hundred and sixty-five [shekels], according to the shekel of the sanctuary.
50From the first sons of Israel he took it, a thousand, three hundred and sixty-five shekels, by the scale of the holy place;
50from the first-born of the sons of Israel he hath taken the money, a thousand and three hundred and sixty and five--by the shekel of the sanctuary;
50For the firstborn of the children of Israel, one thousand three hundred and sixty-five sicles, according to the weight of the sanctuary,
51And Moses gave the money of them that were ransomed to Aaron and to his sons, according to the commandment of Jehovah, — as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
51And he gave the money to Aaron and his sons, as the Lord had said.
51and Moses giveth the money of those ransomed to Aaron, and to his sons, according to the command of Jehovah, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
51And gave it to Aaron and his sons according to the word that the Lord had commanded him.
