1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
1And the Lord said to Moses,
1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
1And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, [Concerning] the set feasts of Jehovah, which ye shall proclaim as holy convocations — these are my set feasts.
2Say to the children of Israel, These are the fixed feasts of the Lord, which you will keep for holy meetings: these are my feasts.
2Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: These are the feasts of the Lord, which you shall call holy.
2`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, Appointed seasons of Jehovah, which ye proclaim, holy convocations, <FI>are<Fi> these: they <FI>are<Fi> My appointed seasons:
3Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; no manner of work shall ye do: it is the sabbath to Jehovah in all your dwellings.
3On six days work may be done; but the seventh day is a special day of rest, a time for worship; you may do no sort of work: it is a Sabbath to the Lord wherever you may be living.
3Six days shall ye do work: the seventh day, because it is the rest of the sabbath, shall be called holy. You shall do no work on that day: it is the sabbath of the Lord in all your habitations.
3six days is work done, and in the seventh day <FI>is<Fi> a sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; ye do no work; it <FI>is<Fi> a sabbath to Jehovah in all your dwellings.
4These are the set feasts of Jehovah, holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons:
4These are the fixed feasts of the Lord, the holy days of worship which you will keep at their regular times.
4These also are the holy days of the Lord, which you must celebrate in their seasons.
4`These <FI>are<Fi> appointed seasons of Jehovah, holy convocations, which ye proclaim in their appointed seasons:
5In the first month, on the fourteenth of the month, between the two evenings, is the passover to Jehovah.
5In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at nightfall, is the Lord's Passover;
5The first month, the fourteenth day of the month at evening, is the phase of the Lord.
5in the first month, on the fourteenth of the month, between the evenings, <FI>is<Fi> the passover to Jehovah;
6And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast of unleavened bread to Jehovah; seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread.
6And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread; for seven days let your food be unleavened bread.
6And the fifteenth day of the same month is the solemnity of the unleavened bread of the Lord. Seven days shall you eat unleavened bread.
6and on the fifteenth day of this month <FI>is<Fi> the feast of unleavened things to Jehovah; seven days unleavened things ye do eat;
7On the first day ye shall have a holy convocation: no manner of servile work shall ye do.
7On the first day you will have a holy meeting; you may do no sort of field-work.
7The first day shall be most solemn unto you, and holy: you shall do no servile work therein.
7on the first day ye have a holy convocation, ye do no servile work;
8And ye shall present to Jehovah an offering by fire seven days; on the seventh day is a holy convocation: no manner of servile work shall ye do.
8And every day for seven days you will give a burned offering to the Lord; and on the seventh day there will be a holy meeting; you may do no field-work.
8But you shall offer sacrifice in fire to the Lord seven days. And the seventh day shall be more solemn, and more holy: and you shall do no servile work therein.
8and ye have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah seven days; in the seventh day <FI>is<Fi> a holy convocation; ye do no servile work.'
9And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
9And the Lord said to Moses,
9And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
9And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
10Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When ye come into the land that I give unto you, and ye reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest unto the priest.
10Say to the children of Israel, When you have come to the land which I will give you, and have got in the grain from its fields, take some of the first-fruits of the grain to the priest;
10Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: When you shall have entered into the land which I will give you, and shall reap your corn, you shall bring sheaves of ears, the firstfruits of your harvest to the priest.
10`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye come in unto the land which I am giving to you, and have reaped its harvest, and have brought in the sheaf, the beginning of your harvest unto the priest,
11And he shall wave the sheaf before Jehovah, to be accepted for you; on the next day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
11And let the grain be waved before the Lord, so that you may be pleasing to him; on the day after the Sabbath let it be waved by the priest.
11Who shall lift up the sheaf before the Lord, the next day after the sabbath, that it may be acceptable for you, and shall sanctify it.
11then he hath waved the sheaf before Jehovah for your acceptance; on the morrow of the sabbath doth the priest wave it.
12And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf, a he-lamb without blemish, a yearling, for a burnt-offering to Jehovah;
12And on the day of the waving of the grain, you are to give a male lamb of the first year, without any mark, for a burned offering to the Lord.
12And on the same day that the sheaf is consecrated, a lamb without blemish of the first year shall be killed for a holocaust of the Lord.
12`And ye have prepared in the day of your waving the sheaf a lamb, a perfect one, a son of a year, for a burnt-offering to Jehovah,
13and the oblation thereof: two tenths of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering by fire to Jehovah for a sweet odour; and the drink-offering thereof, of wine, a fourth part of a hin.
13And let the meal offering with it be two tenth parts of an ephah of the best meal mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the Lord for a sweet smell; and the drink offering with it is to be of wine, the fourth part of a hin.
13And the libations shall be offered with it: two tenths of flour tempered with oil, for a burnt offering of the Lord, and a most sweet odour. Libations also of wine, the fourth part of a hin.
13and its present two tenth deals of flour mixed with oil, a fire-offering to Jehovah, a sweet fragrance, and its drink-offering, wine, a fourth of the hin.
14And ye shall not eat bread, or roast corn, or green ears, until the same day that ye have brought the offering of yourGod: [it is] an everlasting statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
14And you may take no bread or dry grain or new grain for food till the very day on which you have given the offering for your God: this is a rule for ever through all your generations wherever you are living.
14You shall not eat either bread, or parched corn, or frumenty or the harvest, until the day that you shall offer thereof to your God. It is a precept for ever throughout your generations, and all your dwellings.
14`And bread and roasted corn and full ears ye do not eat until this self-same day, until your bringing in the offering of your God--a statute age-during to your generations, in all your dwellings.
15And ye shall count from the morning after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave-offering, seven weeks; they shall be complete;
15And let seven full weeks be numbered from the day after the Sabbath, the day when you give the grain for the wave offering;
15You shall count therefore from the morrow after the sabbath, wherein you offered the sheaf of firstfruits, seven full weeks.
15`And ye have numbered to you from the morrow of the sabbath, from the day of your bringing in the sheaf of the wave-offering: they are seven perfect sabbaths;
16even unto the morning after the seventh sabbath shall ye count fifty days; and ye shall present a new oblation to Jehovah.
16Let fifty days be numbered, to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you are to give a new meal offering to the Lord.
16Even unto the morrow after the seventh week be expired, that is to say, fifty days: and so you shall offer a new sacrifice to the Lord.
16unto the morrow of the seventh sabbath ye do number fifty days, and ye have brought near a new present to Jehovah;
17Out of your dwellings shall ye bring two wave-loaves, of two tenths of fine flour; with leaven shall they be baken; [as] first-fruits to Jehovah.
17Take from your houses two cakes of bread, made of a fifth part of an ephah of the best meal, cooked with leaven, to be waved for first-fruits to the Lord.
17Out of all your dwellings, two loaves of the firstfruits, of two tenths of flour leavened, which you shall bake for the firstfruits of the Lord.
17out of your dwellings ye bring in bread of a wave-offering, two <FI>loaves<Fi> , of two tenth deals of flour they are, <FI>with<Fi> yeast they are baken, first-<FI> fruits<Fi> to Jehovah.
18And ye shall present with the bread seven he-lambs without blemish, yearlings, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be a burnt-offering to Jehovah with their oblation, and their drink-offerings, an offering by fire of a sweet odour to Jehovah.
18And with the bread, take seven lambs of the first year, without any marks, and one ox and two male sheep, to be a burned offering to the Lord, with their meal offering and their drink offerings, an offering of a sweet smell made by fire to the Lord.
18And you shall offer with the loaves seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one calf from the herd, and they shall be for a holocaust with their two rams: and they shall be for a holocaust with their libations for a most sweet odour to the Lord.
18`And ye have brought near, besides the bread, seven lambs, perfect ones, sons of a year, and one bullock, a son of the herd, and two rams; they are a burnt-offering to Jehovah, with their present and their libations, a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah.
19And ye shall sacrifice one buck of the goats for a sin-offering, and two he-lambs, yearlings, for a sacrifice of peace-offering.
19And you are to give one male goat for a sin-offering and two male lambs of the first year for peace-offerings.
19You shall offer also a buck goat for sin, and two lambs of the first year for sacrifices of peace offerings.
19`And ye have prepared one kid of the goats for a sin-offering, and two lambs, sons of a year, for a sacrifice of peace-offerings,
20And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first-fruits as a wave-offering before Jehovah, with the two he-lambs; they shall be holy to Jehovah, for the priest.
20And these will be waved by the priest, with the bread of the first-fruits, for a wave offering to the Lord, with the two lambs: they will be holy to the Lord for the priest.
20And when the priest hath lifted them up with the loaves of the firstfruits before the Lord, they shall fall to his use.
20and the priest hath waved them, besides the bread of the first-<FI> fruits<Fi> --a wave-offering before Jehovah, besides the two lambs; they are holy to Jehovah for the priest;
21And ye shall make proclamation on that same day — a holy convocation shall it be unto you: no manner of servile work shall ye do: [it is] an everlasting statute in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
21And on the same day, let it be given out that there will be a holy meeting for you: you may do no field-work on that day: it is a rule for ever through all your generations wherever you are living.
21And you shall call this day most solemn, and most holy. You shall do no servile work therein. It shall be an everlasting ordinance in all your dwellings and generations.
21and ye have proclaimed on this self-same day: a holy convocation is to you, ye do no servile work--a statute age-during in all your dwellings, to your generations.
22And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not in thy harvest entirely reap the corners of thy field, and the gleaning of thy harvest shalt thou not gather: thou shalt leave them unto the poor and to the stranger: I am Jehovah yourGod.
22And when you get in the grain from your land, do not let all the grain at the edges of the field be cut, and do not take up the grain which has been dropped in the field; let that be for the poor, and for the man from another country: I am the Lord your God.
22And when you reap the corn of your land, you shall not cut it to the very ground: neither shall you gather the ears that remain. But you shall leave them for the poor and for the strangers. I am the Lord your God.
22`And in your reaping the harvest of your land thou dost not complete the corner of thy field in thy reaping, and the gleaning of thy harvest thou dost not gather, to the poor and to the sojourner thou dost leave them; I Jehovah <FI> am<Fi> your God.'
23And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
23And the Lord said to Moses,
23And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
23And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
24Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first of the month, shall ye have a rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.
24Say to the children of Israel, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, let there be a special day of rest for you, a day of memory, marked by the blowing of horns, a meeting for worship.
24Say to the children of Israel: The seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall keep a sabbath, a memorial, with the sound of trumpets, and it shall be called holy.
24`Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first of the month, ye have a sabbath, a memorial of shouting, a holy convocation;
25No manner of servile work shall ye do; and ye shall present an offering by fire to Jehovah.
25Do no field-work and give to the Lord an offering made by fire.
25You shall do no servile work therein, and you shall offer a holocaust to the Lord.
25ye do no servile work, and ye have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah.'
26And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
26And the Lord said to Moses,
26And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
26And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
27Also on the tenth of this seventh month is the day of the atonement: a holy convocation shall it be unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and present an offering by fire to Jehovah.
27The tenth day of this seventh month is the day for the taking away of sin; let it be a holy day of worship; you are to keep from pleasure, and give to the Lord an offering made by fire.
27Upon the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the day of atonement. It shall be most solemn, and shall be called holy: and you shall await your souls on that day, and shall offer a holocaust to the Lord.
27`Only--on the tenth of this seventh month is a day of atonements; ye have a holy convocation, and ye have humbled yourselves, and have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah;
28And ye shall do no manner of work on that same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before Jehovah yourGod.
28And on that day you may do no sort of work, for it is a day of taking away sin, to make you clean before the Lord your God.
28You shall do no servile work in the time of this day: because it is a day of propitiation, that the Lord your God may be merciful unto you.
28and ye do no work in this self-same day, for it is a day of atonements, to make atonement for you, before Jehovah your God.
29For every soul that is not afflicted on that same day, shall be cut off from among his peoples.
29For any person, whoever he may be, who takes his pleasure on that day will be cut off from his people.
29Every soul that is not afflicted on this day, shall perish from among his people.
29`For any person who is not humbled in this self-same day hath even been cut off from his people;
30And every soul that doeth any manner of work on that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
30And if any person, whoever he may be, on that day does any sort of work, I will send destruction on him from among his people.
30And every soul that shall do any work, the same will I destroy from among his people.
30and any person who doth any work in this self-same day I have even destroyed that person from the midst of his people;
31No manner of work shall ye do: [it is] an everlasting statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
31You may not do any sort of work: this is an order for ever through all your generations wherever you may be living.
31You shall do no work therefore on that day: it shall be an everlasting ordinance unto you in all your generations, and dwellings.
31ye do no work--a statute age-during to your generations in all your dwellings.
32A sabbath of rest shall it be unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls. On the ninth of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
32Let this be a Sabbath of special rest to you, and keep yourselves from all pleasure; on the ninth day of the month at nightfall from evening to evening, let this Sabbath be kept.
32It is a sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls beginning on the ninth day of the month. From evening until evening you shall celebrate your sabbaths.
32It <FI>is<Fi> a sabbath of rest to you, and ye have humbled yourselves in the ninth of the month at even; from evening till evening ye do keep your sabbath.'
33And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
33And the Lord said to Moses,
33And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
33And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
34Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of booths seven days to Jehovah.
34Say to the children of Israel, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month let the feast of tents be kept to the Lord for seven days.
34Say to the children of Israel: From the fifteenth day of this same seventh month, shall be kept the feast of tabernacles, seven days to the Lord.
34`Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, In the fifteenth day of this seventh month <FI>is<Fi> a feast of booths seven days to Jehovah;
35On the first day there shall be a holy convocation: no manner of servile work shall ye do.
35On the first day there will be a holy meeting: do no field-work.
35The first day shall be called most solemn and most holy: you shall do no servile work therein. And seven days you shall offer holocausts to the Lord.
35on the first day <FI>is<Fi> a holy convocation, ye do no servile work,
36Seven days ye shall present an offering by fire to Jehovah; on the eighth day shall be a holy convocation unto you; and ye shall present an offering by fire to Jehovah: it is a solemn assembly; no manner of servile work shall ye do.
36Every day for seven days give an offering made by fire to the Lord; and on the eighth day there is to be a holy meeting, when you are to give an offering made by fire to the Lord; this is a special holy day: you may do no field-work on that day.
36The eighth day also shall be most solemn and most holy: and you shall offer holocausts to the Lord. For it is the day of assembly and congregation. You shall do no servile work therein.
36seven days ye bring near a fire-offering to Jehovah, on the eighth day ye have a holy convocation, and ye have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah; it <FI>is<Fi> a restraint, ye do no servile work.
37These are the set feasts of Jehovah, which ye shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present an offering by fire to Jehovah, a burnt-offering, and an oblation, a sacrifice, and drink-offerings, everything upon its day;
37These are the fixed feasts of the Lord, to be kept by you as holy days of worship, for making an offering by fire to the Lord; a burned offering, a meal offering, an offering of beasts, and drink offerings; every one on its special day;
37These are the feasts of the Lord which you shall call most solemn and most holy, and shall offer on them oblations to the Lord: holocausts and libations according to the rite of every day.
37`These <FI>are<Fi> appointed seasons of Jehovah, which ye proclaim holy convocations, to bring near a fire-offering to Jehovah, a burnt-offering, and a present, a sacrifice, and libations, a thing of a day in its day,
38besides the sabbaths of Jehovah, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your voluntary offerings, which ye give to Jehovah.
38In addition to the Sabbaths of the Lord, and in addition to the things you give and the oaths you make and the free offerings to the Lord.
38Besides the sabbaths of the Lord, and your gifts, and those things that you offer by vow, or which you shall give to the Lord voluntarily.
38apart from the sabbaths of Jehovah, and apart from your gifts, and apart from all your vows, and apart from all your willing-offerings, which ye give to Jehovah.
39But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the produce of the land, ye shall celebrate the feast of Jehovah seven days: on the first day there shall be rest, and on the eighth day there shall be rest.
39But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have got in all the fruits of the land, you will keep the feast of the Lord for seven days: the first day will be a Sabbath, and the eighth day the same.
39So from the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you shall have gathered in all the fruits of your land, you shall celebrate the feast of the Lord seven days. On the first day and the eighth shall be a sabbath: that is a day of rest.
39`Only--in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, in your gathering the increase of the land, ye do keep the feast of Jehovah seven days; on the first day <FI>is<Fi> a sabbath, and on the eighth day a sabbath;
40And ye shall take on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, palm branches and the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before Jehovah yourGod seven days.
40On the first day, take the fruit of fair trees, branches of palm-trees, and branches of thick trees and trees from the riverside, and be glad before the Lord for seven days.
40And you shall take to you on the first day the fruits of the fairest tree, and branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook: And you shall rejoice before the Lord your God.
40and ye have taken to yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palms, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of a brook, and have rejoiced before Jehovah your God seven days.
41And ye shall celebrate it as a feast to Jehovah seven days in the year: [it is] an everlasting statute throughout your generations; in the seventh month shall ye celebrate it.
41And let this feast be kept before the Lord for seven days in the year: it is a rule for ever from generation to generation; in the seventh month let it be kept.
41And you shall keep the solemnity thereof seven days in the year. It shall be an everlasting ordinance in your generations. In the seventh month shall you celebrate this feast.
41`And ye have kept it a feast to Jehovah, seven days in a year--a statute age-during to your generations; in the seventh month ye keep it a feast.
42In booths shall ye dwell seven days; all born in Israel shall dwell in booths;
42For seven days you will be living in tents; all those who are Israelites by birth are to make tents their living-places:
42And you shall dwell in bowers seven days. Every one that is of the race of Israel, shall dwell in tabernacles:
42`In booths ye dwell seven days; all who are natives in Israel dwell in booths,
43that your generations may know that I caused the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah yourGod.
43So that future generations may keep in mind how I gave the children of Israel tents as their living-places when I took them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
43That your posterity may know, that I made the children of Israel to dwell in tabernacles, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
43so that your generations do know that in booths I caused the sons of Israel to dwell; in my bringing them out of the land of Egypt; I, Jehovah, <FI>am<Fi> your God.'
44And Moses declared the set feasts of Jehovah to the children of Israel.
44And Moses made clear to the children of Israel the orders about the fixed feasts of the Lord.
44And Moses spoke concerning the feasts of the Lord to the children of Israel.
44And Moses speaketh <FI>concerning<Fi> the appointed seasons of Jehovah unto the sons of Israel.
