1And Jehovah called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tent of meeting, saying,

1And Jehovah calleth unto Moses, and speaketh unto him out of the tent of meeting, saying,

1And the Lord called Moses, and spoke to him from the tabernacle of the testimony, saying:

1And the voice of the Lord came to Moses out of the Tent of meeting, saying,

2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man of you offereth an oblation unto Jehovah, ye shall offer your oblation of the cattle, even of the herd and of the flock.

2`Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, Any man of you when he doth bring near an offering to Jehovah, out of the cattle--out of the herd, or out of the flock--ye do bring near your offering.

2Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man among you that shall offer to the Lord a sacrifice of the cattle, that is, offering victims of oxen and sheep:

2Give these orders to the children of Israel: When anyone of you makes an offering to the Lord, you are to take it from the cattle, from the herd or from the flock.

3If his oblation be a burnt-offering of the herd, he shall offer it a male without blemish: he shall offer it at the door of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before Jehovah.

3`If his offering <FI>is<Fi> a burnt-offering out of the herd--a male, a perfect one, he doth bring near, unto the opening of the tent of meeting he doth bring it near, at his pleasure, before Jehovah;

3If his offering be a holocaust, and of the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish, at the door of the testimony, to make the Lord favourable to him.

3If the offering is a burned offering of the herd, let him give a male without a mark: he is to give it at the door of the Tent of meeting so that he may be pleasing to the Lord.

4And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the burnt-offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

4and he hath laid his hand on the head of the burnt-offering, and it hath been accepted for him to make atonement for him;

4And he shall put his hand upon the head of the victim: and it shall be acceptable, and help to its expiation.

4And he is to put his hand on the head of the burned offering and it will be taken for him, to take away his sin.

5And he shall kill the bullock before Jehovah: and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall present the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is at the door of the tent of meeting.

5and he hath slaughtered the son of the herd before Jehovah; and sons of Aaron, the priests, have brought the blood near, and sprinkled the blood on the altar round about, which <FI>is<Fi> at the opening of the tent of meeting.

5And he shall immolate the calf before the Lord: and the priests the sons of Aaron shall offer the blood thereof, pouring it round about the altar, which is before the door of the tabernacle.

5And the ox is to be put to death before the Lord: then Aaron's sons, the priests, are to take the blood and put some of it on and round the altar which is at the door of the Tent of meeting.

6And he shall flay the burnt-offering, and cut it into its pieces.

6`And he hath stripped the burnt-offering, and hath cut it into its pieces;

6And when they have flayed the victim, they shall cut the joints into pieces:

6And the burned offering is to be skinned and cut up into its parts.

7And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay wood in order upon the fire;

7and the sons of Aaron the priest have put fire on the altar, and arranged wood on the fire;

7And shall put fire on the altar, having before laid in order a pile of wood.

7And Aaron's sons, the priests, are to put fire on the altar and put the wood in order on the fire:

8and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

8and sons of Aaron, the priests, have arranged the pieces, with the head and the fat, on the wood, which <FI>is<Fi> on the fire, which <FI>is<Fi> on the altar;

8And they shall lay the parts that are cut out in order thereupon: to wit, the head, and all things that cleave to the liver;

8And Aaron's sons, the priests, are to put the parts, the head and the fat, in order on the wood which is on the fire on the altar:

9but its inwards and its legs shall he wash with water. And the priest shall burn the whole on the altar, for a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.

9and its inwards and its legs he doth wash with water; and the priest hath made perfume with the whole on the altar, a burnt-offering, a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah.

9The entrails and feet being washed with water. And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for a holocaust, and a sweet savour to the Lord.

9But its inside parts and its legs are to be washed with water, and it will all be burned on the altar by the priest for a burned offering, an offering made by fire, for a sweet smell to the Lord.

10And if his oblation be of the flock, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt-offering; he shall offer it a male without blemish.

10`And if his offering <FI>is<Fi> out of the flock--out of the sheep or out of the goats--for a burnt-offering, a male, a perfect one, he doth bring near,

10And if the offering be of the flocks, a holocaust of sheep or of goats, he shall offer a male without blemish.

10And if his offering is of the flock, a burned offering of sheep or goats, let him give a male without a mark.

11And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before Jehovah: and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood upon the altar round about.

11and he hath slaughtered it by the side of the altar northward, before Jehovah; and sons of Aaron, the priests, have sprinkled its blood on the altar round about;

11And he shall immolate it at the side of the altar that looketh to the north, before the Lord: but the sons of Aaron shall pour the blood thereof upon the altar round about.

11And he is to put it to death on the north side of the altar before the Lord: and Aaron's sons, the priests, are to put some of the blood on and round the altar.

12And he shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat; and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

12and he hath cut it into its pieces, and its head and its fat, and the priest hath arranged them on the wood, which <FI>is<Fi> on the fire, which <FI>is<Fi> on the altar;

12And they shall divide the joints, the head, and all that cleave to the liver: and shall lay them upon the wood, under which the fire is to be put.

12And the offering is to be cut into its parts, with its head and its fat; and the priest is to put them in order on the wood which is on the fire on the altar:

13but the inwards and the legs shall he wash with water. And the priest shall offer the whole, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.

13and the inwards and the legs he doth wash with water, and the priest hath brought the whole near, and hath made perfume on the altar; it <FI>is<Fi> a burnt-offering, a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah.

13But the entrails and the feet they shall wash with water. And the priest shall offer it all and burn it all upon the altar for a holocaust, and most sweet savour to the Lord.

13But the inside parts and the legs are to be washed with water; and the priest will make an offering of all of it, burning it on the altar: it is a burned offering, an offering made by fire, for a sweet smell to the Lord.

14And if his oblation to Jehovah be a burnt-offering of birds, then he shall offer his oblation of turtle-doves, or of young pigeons.

14`And if his offering <FI>is<Fi> a burnt-offering out of the fowl to Jehovah, than he hath brought near his offering out of the turtle-doves or out of the young pigeons,

14But if the oblation of a holocaust to the Lord be of birds, of turtles, or of young pigeons:

14And if his offering to the Lord is a burned offering of birds, then he is to make his offering of doves or of young pigeons.

15And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be drained out on the side of the altar;

15and the priest hath brought it near unto the altar, and hath wrung off its head, and hath made perfume on the altar, and its blood hath been wrung out by the side of the altar;

15The priest shall offer it at the altar: and twisting back the neck, and breaking the place of the wound, he shall make the blood run down upon the brim of the altar.

15And the priest is to take it to the altar, and after its head has been twisted off, it is to be burned on the altar, and its blood drained out on the side of the altar:

16and he shall take away its crop with the filth thereof, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, in the place of the ashes:

16and he hath turned aside its crop with its feathers, and hath cast it near the altar, eastward, unto the place of ashes;

16But the crop of the throat, and the feathers he shall cast beside the altar at the east side, in the place where the ashes are wont to be poured out.

16And he is to take away its stomach, with its feathers, and put it down by the east side of the altar, where the burned waste is put:

17and he shall rend it by the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder. And the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.

17and he hath cleaved it with its wings (he doth not separate <FI>it<Fi> ), and the priest hath made it a perfume on the altar, on the wood, which <FI>is<Fi> on the fire; it <FI>is<Fi> a burnt-offering, a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah.

17And he shall break the pinions thereof, and shall not cut, nor divide it with a knife: and shall burn it upon the altar, putting fire under the wood. It is a holocaust and oblation of most sweet savour to the Lord.

17And let it be broken open at the wings, but not cut in two; and let it be burned on the altar by the priest on the wood which is on the fire; it is a burned offering; an offering made by fire for a sweet smell to the Lord.
