1Brethren, and if a man be overtaken in any fault, you, who are spiritual, instruct such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
1Brethren, if a man also may be overtaken in any trespass, ye who <FI>are<Fi> spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself--lest thou also may be tempted;
1Brothers, if a man is taken in any wrongdoing, you who are of the Spirit will put such a one right in a spirit of love; keeping watch on yourself, for fear that you yourself may be tested.
2Bear ye one another's burdens: and so you shall fulfil the law of Christ.
2of one another the burdens bear ye, and so fill up the law of the Christ,
2Take on yourselves one another's troubles, and so keep the law of Christ.
3For if any man think himself to be some thing, whereas he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
3for if any one doth think <FI>himself<Fi> to be something--being nothing--himself he doth deceive;
3For if a man has an idea that he is something when he is nothing, he is tricked by himself.
4But let every one prove his own work: and so he shall have glory in himself only and not in another.
4and his own work let each one prove, and then in regard to himself alone the glorying he shall have, and not in regard to the other,
4But let every man make test of his work, and then will his cause for glory be in himself only, and not in his neighbour.
5For every one shall bear his own burden.
5for each one his own burden shall bear.
5Because every man is responsible for his part of the work.
6And let him that is instructed in the word communicate to him that instructeth him, in all good things.
6And let him who is instructed in the word share with him who is instructing--in all good things.
6But let him who gets teaching in the word give a part in all good things to his teacher.
7Be not deceived: God is not mocked.
7Be not led astray; God is not mocked; for what a man may sow--that also he shall reap,
7Be not tricked; God is not made sport of: for whatever seed a man puts in, that will he get back as grain.
8For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit of the spirit shall reap life everlasting.
8because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh shall reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit shall reap life age-during;
8Because he who puts in the seed of the flesh will of the flesh get the reward of death; but he who puts in the seed of the Spirit will of the Spirit get the reward of eternal life.
9And in doing good, let us not fail. For in due time we shall reap, not failing.
9and in the doing good we may not be faint-hearted, for at the proper time we shall reap--not desponding;
9And let us not get tired of well-doing; for at the right time we will get in the grain, if we do not give way to weariness.
10Therefore, whilst we have time, let us work good to all men, but especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
10therefore, then, as we have opportunity, may we work the good to all, and especially unto those of the household of the faith.
10So then, as we have the chance, let us do good to all men, and specially to those who are of the family of the faith.
11See what a letter I have written to you with my own hand.
11Ye see in how large letters I have written to you with my own hand;
11See the size of the handwriting which I myself have made use of in writing to you.
12For as many as desire to please in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer the persecution of the cross of Christ.
12as many as are willing to make a good appearance in the flesh, these constrain you to be circumcised--only that for the cross of the Christ they may not be persecuted,
12Those who have the desire to seem important in the flesh, put force on you to undergo circumcision; only that they may not be attacked because of the cross of Christ.
13For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law: but they will have you to be circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
13for neither do those circumcised themselves keep the law, but they wish you to be circumcised, that in your flesh they may glory.
13Because even those who undergo circumcision do not themselves keep the law; but they would have you undergo circumcision, so that they may have glory in your flesh.
14But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world.
14And for me, let it not be--to glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which to me the world hath been crucified, and I to the world;
14But far be it from me to have glory in anything, but only in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which this world has come to an end on the cross for me, and I for it.
15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision: but a new creature.
15for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation;
15For having circumcision is nothing, and not having circumcision is nothing, but only a new order of existence.
16And whosoever shall follow this rule, peace on them and mercy: and upon the Israel of God.
16and as many as by this rule do walk--peace upon them, and kindness, and on the Israel of God!
16And on all who are guided by this rule be peace and mercy, and on the Israel of God.
