1And thou, son of man, prophesy concerning Gog, and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I <FI>am<Fi> against thee, O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal,
1And you, son of man, be a prophet against Gog, and say, These are the words of the Lord: See, I am against you, O Gog, ruler of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal:
1And thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold, I come against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Mosoch and Thubal.
2And have turned thee back, and enticed thee, And caused thee to come up from the sides of the north, And brought thee in against mountains of Israel,
2And turning you round, I will be your guide, and make you come up from the inmost parts of the north; I will make you come on to the mountains of Israel:
2And I will turn thee round, and I will lead thee out, and will make thee go up from the northern parts: and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel.
3And have smitten thy bow out of thy left hand, Yea, thine arrows out of thy right I cause to fall.
3And with a blow I will send your bow out of your left hand and your arrows falling from your right hand.
3And I will break thy bow in thy left hand, and I will cause thy arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4On mountains of Israel thou fallest, Thou, and all thy bands, and the peoples who <FI>are<Fi> with thee, To ravenous fowl--a bird of every wing, And <FI>to<Fi> a beast of the field, I have given thee for food.
4On the mountains of Israel you will come down, you and all your forces and the peoples who are with you: I will give you to cruel birds of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be their food.
4Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou and all thy bands, and thy nations that are with thee: I have given thee to the wild beasts, to the birds, and to every fowl, and to the beasts of the earth to be devoured.
5On the face of the field thou fallest, for I have spoken, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
5You will come down in the open field: for I have said it, says the Lord.
5Thou shalt fall upon the face of the field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.
6And I have sent a fire against Magog, And against the confident inhabitants of the isles, And they have known that I <FI>am<Fi> Jehovah.
6And I will send a fire on Magog, and on those who are living in the sea-lands without fear: and they will be certain that I am the Lord.
6And I will send a fire on Magog, and on them that dwell confidently in the islands: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
7And My holy name I make known in the midst of My people Israel, And I pollute not My holy name any more, And known have the nations that I, Jehovah, the Holy One, <FI>am<Fi> in Israel.
7And I will make clear my holy name among my people Israel; I will no longer let my holy name be made unclean: and the nations will be certain that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.
7And I will make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel, and my holy name shall be profaned no more: and the Gentiles shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.
8Lo, it hath come, and it hath been done, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, It <FI>is<Fi> the day of which I spake.
8See, it is coming and it will be done, says the Lord; this is the day of which I have given word.
8Behold it cometh, and it is done, saith the Lord God: this is the day whereof I have spoken.
9And gone out have the inhabitants of cities of Israel, And they have burned and kindled <FI>a fire<Fi> , With armour, and shield, and buckler, With bow, and with arrows, And with hand-staves, and with javelins, And they have caused a fire to burn with them seven years,
9And those who are living in the towns of Israel will go out and make fires of the instruments of war, burning the body-covers and the breastplates, the bows and the arrows and the sticks and the spears, and for seven years they will make fires of them:
9And the inhabitants shall go forth of the cities of Israel, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, the shields, and the spears, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves and the pikes: and they shall burn them with fire seven years.
10And they do not take wood out of the field, Nor do they hew out of the forests, For with armour they cause the fire to burn, And they have spoiled their spoilers, And they have plundered their plunderers, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
10And they will take no wood out of the field or have any cut down in the woods; for they will make their fires of the instruments of war: and they will take by force the property of those who took their property, and go off with the goods of those who took their goods, says the Lord.
10And they shall not bring wood out of the countries, nor cut down out of the forests: for they shall burn the weapons with fire, and shall make a prey of them to whom they had been a prey, and they shall rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord God.
11And it hath come to pass, in that day, I give to Gog a place there--a grave in Israel, the valley of those passing by, east of the sea, and it is stopping those passing by, and they have buried there Gog, and all his multitude, and have cried, O valley of the multitude of Gog!
11And it will come about in those days, that I will give to Gog a last resting-place there in Israel, in the valley of Abarim on the east of the sea: and those who go through will be stopped: and there Gog and all his people will be put to rest, and the place will be named, The valley of Hamon-gog.
11And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give Gog a noted place for a sepulchre in Israel: the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea, which shall cause astonishment in them that pass by: and there shall they bury Gog, and all his multitude, and it shall be called the valley of the multitude of Gog.
12And the house of Israel have buried them--in order to cleanse the land--seven months.
12And the children of Israel will be seven months putting them in the earth, so as to make the land clean.
12And the house of Israel shall bury them for seven months to cleanse the land.
13Yea, all the people of the land have buried them, and it hath been to them for a name--the day of My being honoured--an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
13And all the people of the land will put them in the earth; and it will be to their honour in the day when I let my glory be seen, says the Lord.
13And all the people of the land shall bury him, and it shall be unto them a noted day, wherein I was glorified, saith the Lord God.
14And men for continual employment they separate, passing on through the land, burying with those passing by those who are left on the face of the earth, to cleanse it: at the end of seven months they search.
14And they will put on one side men to do no other work but to go through the land and put in the earth the rest of those who are still on the face of the land, to make it clean: after seven months are ended they are to make a search.
14And they shall appoint men to go continually about the land, to bury and to seek out them that were remaining upon the face of the earth, that they may cleanse it: and after seven months they shall begin to seek.
15And those passing by have passed through the land, and seen a bone of man, and one hath constructed near it a sign till those burying have buried it in the valley of the multitude of Gog.
15And while they go through the land, if anyone sees a man's bone, he is to put up a sign by the place till those who are doing the work have put it in the earth in the valley of Hamon-gog.
15And they shall go about passing through the land: and when they shall see the bone of a man, they shall set up sign by it, till the buriers bury it in the valley, of the multitude of Gog.
16And also the name of the city <FI>is<Fi> The multitude; and they have cleansed the land.
16And there they will put all the army of Gog in the earth. So they will make the land clean.
16And the name of the city shall be Amona, and they shall cleanse the land.
17And thou, son of man, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Say to the bird--every wing, and to every beast of the field: Be assembled and come in, Be gathered from round about, For My sacrifice that I am sacrificing for you, A great sacrifice on mountains of Israel, And ye have eaten flesh, and drunk blood.
17And you, son of man, this is what the Lord has said: Say to the birds of every sort and to all the beasts of the field, Get together and come; come together on every side to the offering which I am putting to death for you, a great offering on the mountains of Israel, so that you may have flesh for your food and blood for your drink.
17And thou, O son of man, saith the Lord God, say to every fowl, and to all the birds, and to all the beasts of the field: Assemble yourselves, make haste, come together from every side to my victim, which I slay for you, a great victim upon the mountains of Israel: to eat flesh, and drink blood.
18Flesh of the mighty ye do eat, And blood of princes of the earth ye drink, Of rams, of lambs, and of he-goats, Of calves, fatlings of Bashan--all of them.
18The flesh of the men of war will be your food, and your drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of sheep and lambs, of he-goats, of oxen, all of them fat beasts of Bashan.
18You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and you shall drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, and of lambs, and of he goats, and bullocks, and of all that are well fed and fat.
19And ye have eaten fat to satiety, And ye have drunk blood--to drunkenness, Of My sacrifice that I sacrificed for you.
19You will go on feasting on the fat till you are full, and drinking the blood till you are overcome with it, of my offering which I have put to death for you.
19And you shall eat the fat till you be full, and shall drink blood till you be drunk of the victim which I shall slay for you.
20And ye have been satisfied at My table with horse and rider, Mighty man, and every man of war, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
20At my table you will have food in full measure, horses and war-carriages, great men and all the men of war, says the Lord.
20And you shall be filled at my table with horses, and mighty horsemen, and all the men of war, saith the Lord God.
21And I have given My honour among nations, And seen have all the nations My Judgment that I have done, And My hand that I have laid on them.
21And I will put my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see my punishments which I have put into effect, and my hand which I have put on them.
21And I will set my glory among the nations: and all nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
22And known have the house of Israel that I <FI>am<Fi> Jehovah their God, From that day and henceforth.
22So the children of Israel will be certain that I am the Lord their God, from that day and for the future.
22And the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward.
23And known have the nations that for their iniquity, Removed have the house of Israel, Because they have trespassed against Me, And I do hide My face from them, And give them into the hand of their adversaries, And they fall by sword--all of them.
23And it will be clear to the nations that the children of Israel were taken away prisoners for their evil-doing; because they did wrong against me, and my face was covered from them: so I gave them up into the hands of their attackers, and they all came to their end by the sword.
23And the nations shall know that the house of Israel were made captives for their iniquity, because they forsook me, and I hid my face from them: and I delivered them into the hands of their enemies, and they fell all by the sword.
24According to their uncleanness, And according to their transgressions, I have done with them, And I do hide My face from them.
24In the measure of their unclean ways and their sins, so I did to them; and I kept my face covered from them.
24I have dealt with them according to their uncleanness, and wickedness, and hid my face from them.
25Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Now do I bring back the captivity of Jacob, And I have pitied all the house of Israel, And have been zealous for My holy name.
25For this cause the Lord has said, Now I will let the fate of Jacob be changed, and I will have mercy on all the children of Israel, and will take care of the honour of my holy name.
25Therefore, thus saith the Lord God: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and will have mercy on all the house of Israel and I will be jealous for my holy name.
26And they have forgotten their shame, And all their trespass that they trespassed against Me, In their dwelling on their land confidently and none troubling.
26And they will be conscious of their shame and of all the wrong which they have done against me, when they are living in their land with no sense of danger and with no one to be a cause of fear to them;
26And they shall bear their confusion, and all the transgressions wherewith they have transgressed against me, when they shall dwell in their land securely fearing no man:
27In My bringing them back from the peoples, I have assembled them from the lands of their enemies, And I have been sanctified in them before the eyes of the many nations,
27When I have taken them back from among the peoples and got them together out of the lands of their haters, and have made myself holy in them before the eyes of a great number of nations.
27And I shall have brought them back from among the nations, and shall have gathered them together out of the lands of their enemies, and shall be sanctified in them, in the sight of many nations.
28And they have known that I <FI>am<Fi> Jehovah their God, In My removing them unto the nations, And I have gathered them unto their land, And I leave none of them any more there.
28And they will be certain that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them away as prisoners among the nations, and have taken them together back to their land; and I have not let one of them be there any longer.
28And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, because I caused them to be carried away among the nations; and I have gathered them together unto their own land, and have not left any of them there.
29And I hide not any more My face from them, In that I have poured out My spirit on the house of Israel, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'
29And my face will no longer be covered from them: for I have sent the out-flowing of my spirit on the children of Israel, says the Lord.
29And I will hide my face no more from them, for I have poured out my spirit upon all the house of Israel, saith the Lord God.
