1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

1And at that time Michael will take up his place, the great angel, who is the supporter of the children of your people: and there will be a time of trouble, such as there never was from the time there was a nation even till that same time: and at that time your people will be kept safe, everyone who is recorded in the book.

1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of distress, such as never was since there was a nation until that time. And at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that is found written in the book.

1`And at that time stand up doth Michael, the great head, who is standing up for the sons of thy people, and there hath been a time of distress, such as hath not been since there hath been a nation till that time, and at that time do thy people escape, every one who is found written in the book.

2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

2And a number of those who are sleeping in the dust of the earth will come out of their sleep, some to eternal life and some to eternal shame.

2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame, to everlasting contempt.

2`And the multitude of those sleeping in the dust of the ground do awake, some to life age-during, and some to reproaches--to abhorrence age-during.

3And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

3And those who are wise will be shining like the light of the outstretched sky; and those by whom numbers have been turned to righteousness will be like the stars for ever and ever.

3And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and they that turn the many to righteousness as the stars, for ever and ever.

3And those teaching do shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars to the age and for ever.

4But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

4But as for you, O Daniel, let the words be kept secret and the book rolled up and kept shut till the time of the end: numbers will be going out of the way and troubles will be increased.

4And thou, Daniel, close the words, and seal the book, till the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

4And thou, O Daniel, hide the things, and seal the book till the time of the end, many do go to and fro, and knowledge is multiplied.'

5Then I, Daniel, looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on the brink of the river on this side, and the other on the brink of the river on that side.

5Then I, Daniel, looking, saw two others, one at the edge of the river on this side and one at the edge of the river on that side.

5And I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, the one on this side, on the bank of the river, and the other on that side, on the bank of the river.

5And I have looked--I, Daniel--and lo, two others are standing, one here at the edge of the flood, and one there at the edge of the flood,

6And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

6And I said to the man clothed in linen, who was over the waters of the river, How long will it be to the end of these wonders?

6And he said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long [is it to] the end of these wonders?

6and he saith to the one clothed in linen, who <FI>is<Fi> upon the waters of the flood, `Till when <FI>is<Fi> the end of these wonders?'

7And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

7Then in my hearing the man clothed in linen, who was over the river, lifting up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, took an oath by him who is living for ever that it would be a time, times, and a half; and when the power of the crusher of the holy people comes to an end, all these things will be ended.

7And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river; and he held up his right hand and his left hand unto the heavens, and swore by him that liveth for ever that it is for a time, times, and a half; and when the scattering of the power of the holy people shall be accomplished, all these things shall be finished.

7And I hear the one clothed in linen, who <FI>is<Fi> upon the waters of the flood, and he doth lift up his right hand and his left unto the heavens, and sweareth by Him who is living to the age, that, `After a time, times, and a half, and at the completion of the scattering of the power of the holy people, finished are all these.'

8And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my lord, what shall be the issue of these things?

8And the words came to my ears, but the sense of them was not clear to me: then I said, O my lord, what is the sense of these things?

8And I heard, but I understood not. And I said, My lord, what shall be the end of these things?

8And I have heard, and I do not understand, and I say, `O my lord, what <FI>is<Fi> the latter end of these?'

9And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed till the time of the end.

9And he said, Go on your way, Daniel: for the words are secret and shut up till the time of the end;

9And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for these words are closed and sealed till the time of the end.

9And he saith, `Go, Daniel; for hidden and sealed <FI>are<Fi> the things till the time of the end;

10Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but they that are wise shall understand.

10Till a number are tested and make themselves clean; and the evil-doers will do evil; for not one of the evil-doers will have knowledge; but all will be made clear to those who are wise.

10Many shall be purified, and be made white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

10Purify themselves, yea, make themselves white, yea, refined are many: and the wicked have done wickedly, and none of the wicked understand, and those acting wisely do understand;

11And from the time that the continual burnt-offering shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

11And from the time when the regular burned offering is taken away, and an unclean thing causing fear is put up, there will be a thousand, two hundred and ninety days.

11And from the time that the continual [sacrifice] is taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand, two hundred, and ninety days.

11and from the time of the turning aside of the perpetual <FI>sacrifice<Fi> , and to the giving out of the desolating abomination, <FI>are<Fi> days a thousand, two hundred, and ninety.

12Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.

12A blessing will be on the man who goes on waiting, and comes to the thousand, three hundred and thirty-five days.

12Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days!

12O the blessedness of him who is waiting earnestly, and doth come to the days, a thousand, three hundred, thirty and five.

13But go thou thy way till the end be; for thou shalt rest, and shalt stand in thy lot, at the end of the days.

13But you, go on your way and take your rest: for you will be in your place at the end of the days.

13But do thou go thy way until the end; and thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

13And thou, go on to the end, then thou dost rest, and dost stand in thy lot at the end of the days.'
