What Acts 26:22 means
Paul testifies that God’s help has kept him to the present, enabling him to witness to both small and great. His message has not changed: he proclaims only what the prophets and Moses said would happen. Divine preservation validates divine mission; wide audience shows broad relevance. By appealing to Scripture, Paul denies innovation and asserts fulfillment—the Messiah’s suffering and resurrection were foretold. Before rulers and commoners alike, he preaches the same Christ. This integrity and consistency commend the truthfulness of his testimony. The gospel rests not on private speculation but on God’s long-standing revelation now realized in Jesus.

Context
This verse bridges opposition (v.21) and the content of prophecy (v.23). Paul situates his endurance in God’s providence and his message in Scripture. The next verse will specify what Moses and the prophets foretold: the suffering Messiah and resurrection bringing light to Jews and Gentiles. This sets up Festus’s interruption (v.24) and Paul’s defense of his reasonableness (v.25), as well as his appeal to Agrippa’s knowledge (vv.26–27).
