Titus 3

1Put them in mind to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient to rule, to be ready to do every good work,

1Admonish them to be subject to princes and powers, to obey at a word, to be ready to every good work.

2to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, [to be] mild, shewing all meekness towards all men.

3For we were once ourselves also without intelligence, disobedient, wandering in error, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.

3For we ourselves also were some time unwise, incredulous, erring, slaves to divers desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

5not on the principle of works which [have been done] in righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us through [the] washing of regeneration and renewal of [the] Holy Spirit,

5Not by the works of justice which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration and renovation of the Holy Ghost.

5(not by works that <FI>are<Fi> in righteousness that we did but according to His kindness,) He did save us, through a bathing of regeneration, and a renewing of the Holy Spirit,

6which he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

7that, having been justified by his grace, we should become heirs according to [the] hope of eternal life.

8The word [is] faithful, and I desire that thou insist strenuously on these things, that they who have believedGod may take care to pay diligent attention to good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

8It is a faithful saying. And these things I will have thee affirm constantly, that they who believe in God may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

8Stedfast <FI>is<Fi> the word; and concerning these things I counsel thee to affirm fully, that they may be thoughtful, to be leading in good works--who have believed God; these are the good and profitable things to men,

9But foolish questions, and genealogies, and strifes, and contentions about the law, shun; for they are unprofitable and vain.

10An heretical man after a first and second admonition have done with,

10A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, avoid:

10A sectarian man, after a first and second admonition be rejecting,

11knowing that such a one is perverted, and sins, being self-condemned.

11Knowing that he that is such an one is subverted and sinneth, being condemned by his own judgment.

11having known that he hath been subverted who <FI>is<Fi> such, and doth sin, being self-condemned.

12When I shall send Artemas to thee, or Tychicus, use diligence to come to me to Nicopolis; for I have decided to winter there.

12When I shall send to thee Artemas or Tychicus, make haste to come unto me to Nicopolis. For there I have determined to winter.

13Zenas the lawyer and Apollos set forward diligently on their way, that nothing may be lacking to them;

14and let ours also learn to apply themselves to good works for necessary wants, that they may not be unfruitful.

15All with me salute thee. Salute those who love us in [the] faith. Grace [be] with you all.

15All that are with me salute thee. Salute them that love us in the faith. The grace of God be with you all. Amen.

15Salute thee do all those with me; salute those loving us in faith; the grace <FI>is<Fi> with you all!
