What Ruth 1:7 means
Naomi sets out from where she lived, and both daughters-in-law initially accompany her toward Judah. The journey begins with shared steps and shared sorrow. Their movement shows affection and a willingness, at least at first, to embrace Naomi’s path. Yet the way ahead will force decisions about identity, worship, and family duty. This verse simply describes their going, but the physical road mirrors the spiritual crossroads they face. It also shows that Naomi is not pushing them away at the start; she allows them to come, creating space for heartfelt conversation and hard choices that soon arise.

v.7This passage
v.8And Naomi said unto her two daughters-in-law, Go, return each of you to her mother’s house: Jehovah deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.
