What Revelation 10:6 means
The angel swears by “him that liveth for ever and ever,” the Creator of heaven, earth, and sea with all they contain, that there will be “delay no longer.” The appeal to the eternal Maker underlines that the timetable of redemption rests in hands almighty and wise. Creation’s Lord sets the hour when history’s waiting ends. For the persecuted churches, this promise steadies hope: God has not forgotten; procrastination is not in His plan. The oath declares a decisive shift from waiting to imminent fulfillment—God’s purposes, long foretold and often prayed for, are moving to their appointed climax without further postponement.

Context
Having raised his hand, the angel delivers the oath’s core: time’s deferral is over. This declaration answers the tension created by the sealed thunders—what is hidden remains hidden, but what must be known is plainly sworn. The following verse specifies when this end of delay will be realized: in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound. The flow moves from general certainty to specific timing within the trumpet sequence.
v.5And the angel that I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his right hand to heaven,
v.6This passage
v.7but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then is finished the mystery of God, according to the good tidings which he declared to his servants the prophets.
