1The Lord is King; let the peoples be in fear: his seat is on the winged ones; let the earth be moved.

1Jehovah reigneth: let the peoples tremble. He sitteth [between the] cherubim: let the earth be moved.

1A psalm of praise.

2The Lord is great in Zion; he is high over all the nations.

2 Jehovah is great in Zion, and he is high above all the peoples.

2Sing joyfully to God, all the earth: serve ye the Lord with gladness. Come in before his presence with exceeding great joy.

3Let them give praise to your name, for it is great and to be feared; holy is he.

3 They shall praise thy great and terrible name, — it is holy! —

3Know ye that the Lord he is God: he made us, and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

4The king's power is used for righteousness; you give true decisions, judging rightly in the land of Jacob.

4 And the strength of the king that loveth justice. Thou hast established equity: it is thou that executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

4Go ye into his gates with praise, into his courts with hymns: and give glory to him. Praise ye his name:

5Give high honour to the Lord our God, worshipping at his feet; holy is he.

5 Exalt Jehovah ourGod, and worship at his footstool. He is holy!

5For the Lord is sweet, his mercy endureth for ever, and his truth to generation and generation.
