1 Sing ye unto Jehovah a new song: for he hath done wondrous things; his right hand and his holy arm hath wrought salvation for him.

1A psalm for David himself. The Lord hath reigned, let the people be angry: he that sitteth on the cherubims: let the earth be moved.

2 Jehovah hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the nations.

2The Lord is great in Sion, and high above all people.

3 He hath remembered his loving-kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of ourGod.

3Let them give praise to thy great name: for it is terrible and holy:

4 Shout aloud unto Jehovah, all the earth; break forth and shout for joy, and sing psalms.

4And the king's honour loveth judgment. Thou hast prepared directions: thou hast done judgment and justice in Jacob.

5 Sing psalms unto Jehovah with the harp: with the harp, and the voice of a song;

5Exalt ye the Lord our God, and adore his footstool, for it is holy.

6 With trumpets and sound of cornet, make a joyful noise before the King, Jehovah.

6Moses and Aaron among his priests: and Samuel among them that call upon his name. They called upon the Lord, and he heard them:

7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein;

7He spoke to them in the pillar of the cloud. They kept his testimonies, and the commandment which he gave them.

8 Let the floods clap [their] hands; let the mountains sing for joy together,

8Thou didst hear them, O Lord our God: thou wast a merciful God to them, and taking vengeance on all their inventions.

9 Before Jehovah, for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

9Exalt ye the Lord our God, and adore at his holy mountain: for the Lord our God is holy.
