1O make a new song to the Lord; let all the earth make melody to the Lord.
1For the same David, when his land was restored again to him. The Lord hath reigned, let the earth rejoice: let many islands be glad.
1Sing ye unto Jehovah a new song: sing unto Jehovah, all the earth.
2Make songs to the Lord, blessing his name; give the good news of his salvation day by day.
2Clouds and darkness are round about him: justice and judgment are the establishment of his throne.
2 Sing unto Jehovah, bless his name; publish his salvation from day to day.
3Make clear his glory to the nations, and his wonders to all the peoples.
3A fire shall go before him, and shall burn his enemies round about.
3 Declare his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among all the peoples.
4For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised; he is more to be feared than all other gods.
4His lightnings have shone forth to the world: the earth saw and trembled.
4 For Jehovah is great and exceedingly to be praised; he is terrible above allgods.
5For all the gods of the nations are false gods; but the Lord made the heavens.
5The mountains melted like wax, at the presence of the Lord: at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.
5 For all thegods of the peoples are idols; but Jehovah made the heavens.
6Honour and glory are before him: strong and fair is his holy place.
6The heavens declared his justice: and all people saw his glory.
6 Majesty and splendour are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7Give to the Lord, O you families of the peoples, give to the Lord glory and strength.
7Let them be all confounded that adore graven things, and that glory in their idols. Adore him, all you his angels:
7 Give unto Jehovah, ye families of peoples, give unto Jehovah glory and strength;
8Give to the Lord the glory of his name; take with you an offering and come into his house.
8Sion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Juda rejoiced, because of thy judgments, O Lord.
8 Give unto Jehovah the glory of his name; bring an oblation and come into his courts;
9O give worship to the Lord in holy robes; be in fear before him, all the earth.
9For thou art the most high Lord over all the earth: thou art exalted exceedingly above all gods.
9 Worship Jehovah in holy splendour; tremble before him, all the earth.
10Say among the nations, The Lord is King; yes, the world is ordered so that it may not be moved; he will be an upright judge of the peoples.
10You that love the Lord, hate evil: the Lord preserveth the souls of his saints, he will deliver them out of the hand of the sinner.
10 Say among the nations, Jehovah reigneth! yea, the world is established, it shall not be moved; he will execute judgment upon the peoples with equity.
11Let the heavens have joy and the earth be glad; let the sea be thundering with all its waters;
11Light is risen to the just, and joy to the right of heart.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;
12Let the field be glad, and everything which is in it; yes, let all the trees of the wood be sounding with joy,
12Rejoice, ye just, in the Lord: and give praise to the remembrance of his holiness.
12 Let the field exult and all that is therein. Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy,
13Before the Lord, for he is come; he is come to be the judge of the earth; the earth will be judged in righteousness, and the peoples with unchanging faith.
13(not in this translation)
13 Before Jehovah, for he cometh; for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness.
