1The Lord is King; he is clothed with glory; the Lord is clothed with strength; power is the cord of his robe; the world is fixed, so that it may not be moved.

1Jehovah reigneth, he hath clothed himself with majesty: Jehovah hath clothed himself, he hath girded himself with strength; yea, the world is established, it shall not be moved.

1Jehovah hath reigned, Excellency He hath put on, Jehovah put on strength, He girded Himself, Also--established is the world, unmoved.

2The seat of your power has been from the past; you are eternal.

2 Thy throne is established of old; thou art from eternity.

2Established is Thy throne since then, From the age Thou <FI>art<Fi> .

3The rivers send up, O Lord, the rivers send up their voices; they send them up with a loud cry.

3 The floods lifted up, O Jehovah, the floods lifted up their voice; the floods lifted up their roaring waves.

3Floods have lifted up, O Jehovah, Floods have lifted up their voice, Floods lift up their breakers.

4The Lord in heaven is stronger than the noise of great waters, yes, he is stronger than the great waves of the sea.

4 Jehovah on high is mightier than the voices of many waters, than the mighty breakers of the sea.

4Than the voices of many mighty waters, Breakers of a sea, mighty on high <FI>is<Fi> Jehovah,

5Your witness is most certain; it is right for your house to be holy, O Lord, for ever.

5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thy house, O Jehovah, for ever.

5Thy testimonies have been very stedfast, To Thy house comely <FI>is<Fi> holiness, O Jehovah, for length of days!
