Psalms 93

1Jehovah reigneth; he is clothed with majesty; Jehovah is clothed with strength; he hath girded himself therewith: The world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

1The LORD rules as king; he is dressed in majesty. The LORD has clothed and armed himself with strength. The world is set firmly in place; it cannot be shaken.

2Thy throne is established of old: Thou art from everlasting.

2Your throne was established long ago; you have existed from eternity.

3The floods have lifted up, O Jehovah, The floods have lifted up their voice; The floods lift up their waves.

3The floods have risen up, O LORD; the floods have raised their voices; the floods lift up their crashing waves.

4Above the voices of many waters, The mighty breakers of the sea, Jehovah on high is mighty.

4But more powerful than the roar of many waters, more powerful than the mighty waves of the sea, is the LORD who rules in heaven.

5Thy testimonies are very sure: Holiness becometh thy house, O Jehovah, for evermore.

5Your laws are completely reliable. Holiness is what makes your house beautiful, O LORD, for all time to come.
