1Unto the end, for the hidden things of the Son. A psalm for David.
1To the Overseer, `On the Death of Labben.' --A Psalm of David. I confess, O Jehovah, with all my heart, I recount all Thy wonders,
1 I will praise Jehovah with my whole heart; I will recount all thy marvellous works.
2I will give praise to thee, O Lord, with my whole heart: I will relate all thy wonders.
2I rejoice and exult in Thee, I praise Thy Name, O Most High.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee; I will sing forth thy name, O Most High.
3I will be glad, and rejoice in thee: I will sing to thy name, O thou most high.
3In mine enemies turning backward, they stumble and perish from Thy face.
3 When mine enemies turned back, they stumbled and perished at thy presence:
4When my enemy shall be turned back: they shall be weakened, and perish before thy face.
4For Thou hast done my judgment and my right. Thou hast sat on a throne, A judge of righteousness.
4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause. Thou sittest on the throne, judging righteously.
5For thou hast maintained my judgment and my cause: thou hast sat on the throne, who judgest justice.
5Thou hast rebuked nations, Thou hast destroyed the wicked, Their name Thou hast blotted out to the age and for ever.
5 Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked; thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
6Thou hast rebuked the Gentiles, and the wicked one hath perished; thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.
6O thou Enemy, Finished have been destructions for ever, As to cities thou hast plucked up, Perished hath their memorial with them.
6 O enemy! destructions are ended for ever. — Thou hast also destroyed cities, even the remembrance of them hath perished.
7The swords of the enemy have failed unto the end: and their cities thou hast destroyed. Their memory hath perished with a noise:
7And Jehovah to the age abideth, He is preparing for judgment His throne.
7 But Jehovah sitteth for ever; he hath ordained his throne for judgment.
8But the Lord remaineth for ever. He hath prepared his throne in judgment:
8And He judgeth the world in righteousness, He judgeth the peoples in uprightness.
8 And it is he that will judge the world with righteousness; he shall execute judgment upon the peoples with equity.
9And he shall judge the world in equity, he shall judge the people in justice.
9And Jehovah is a tower for the bruised, A tower for times of adversity.
9 And Jehovah will be a refuge to the oppressed one, a refuge in times of distress.
10And the Lord is become a refuge for the poor: a helper in due time in tribulation.
10They trust in Thee who do know Thy name, For Thou hast not forsaken Those seeking Thee, O Jehovah.
10 And they that know thy name will confide in thee; for thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
11And let them trust in thee who know thy name: for thou hast not forsaken them that seek thee, O Lord.
11Sing ye praise to Jehovah, inhabiting Zion, Declare ye among the peoples His acts,
11 Sing psalms to Jehovah who dwelleth in Zion; tell among the peoples his doings.
12Sing ye to the Lord, who dwelleth in Sion: declare his ways among the Gentiles:
12For He who is seeking for blood Them hath remembered, He hath not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.
12 For when he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them; the cry of the afflicted ones hath he not forgotten.
13For requiring their blood, he hath remembered them: he hath not forgotten the cry of the poor.
13Favour me, O Jehovah, See mine affliction by those hating me, Thou who liftest me up from the gates of death,
13 Be gracious unto me, O Jehovah; consider mine affliction from them that hate me, lifting me up from the gates of death:
14Have mercy on me, O Lord: see my humiliation which I suffer from my enemies.
14So that I recount all Thy praise, In the gates of the daughter of Zion. I rejoice on Thy salvation.
14 That I may declare all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will be joyful in thy salvation.
15Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death, that I may declare all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion.
15Sunk have nations in a pit they made, In a net that they hid hath their foot been captured.
15 The nations are sunk down in the pit [that] they made; in the net that they hid is their own foot taken.
16I will rejoice in thy salvation: the Gentiles have stuck fast in the destruction which they prepared. Their foot hath been taken in the very snare which they hid.
16Jehovah hath been known, Judgment He hath done, By a work of his hands Hath the wicked been snared. Meditation. Selah.
16 Jehovah is known [by] the judgment he hath executed: the wicked is ensnared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
17The Lord shall be known when he executeth judgments: the sinner hath been caught in the works of his own hands.
17The wicked do turn back to Sheol, All nations forgetting God.
17 The wicked shall be turned into Sheol, all the nations that forgetGod.
18The wicked shall be turned into hell, all the nations that forget God.
18For not for ever is the needy forgotten, The hope of the humble lost to the age.
18 For the needy one shall not be forgotten alway; the hope of the meek shall not perish for ever.
19For the poor man shall not be forgotten to the end: the patience of the poor shall not perish for ever.
19Rise, O Jehovah, let not man be strong, Let nations be judged before Thy face.
19 Arise, Jehovah; let not man prevail: let the nations be judged in thy sight.
20Arise, O Lord, let not man be strengthened: let the Gentiles be judged in thy sight.
20Appoint, O Jehovah, a director to them, Let nations know they <FI>are<Fi> men! Selah.
20 Put them in fear, Jehovah: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
21Appoint, O Lord, a lawgiver over them: that the Gentiles may know themselves to be but men.
