1Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
1For the sons of Core, a psalm of a canticle. The foundations thereof are the holy mountains:
1A Prayer of David. Incline, O Jehovah, Thine ear, Answer me, for I <FI>am<Fi> poor and needy.
2Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
2The Lord loveth the gates of Sion above all the tabernacles of Jacob.
2Keep my soul, for I <FI>am<Fi> pious, Save Thy servant--who is trusting to Thee, O Thou, my God.
3Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
3Glorious things are said of thee, O city of God.
3Favour me, O Lord, for to Thee I call all the day.
4Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
4I will be mindful of Rahab and of Babylon knowing me. Behold the foreigners, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians, these were there.
4Rejoice the soul of Thy servant, For unto Thee, O Lord, my soul I lift up.
5For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
5Shall not Sion say: This man and that man is born in her? and the Highest himself hath founded her.
5For Thou, Lord, <FI>art<Fi> good and forgiving. And abundant in kindness to all calling Thee.
6Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
6The Lord shall tell in his writings of peoples and of princes, of them that have been in her.
6Hear, O Jehovah, my prayer, And attend to the voice of my supplications.
7In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
7The dwelling in thee is as it were of all rejoicing.
7In a day of my distress I call Thee, For Thou dost answer me.
8Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
