1 Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion; And unto thee shall the vow be performed.

1 It is right for you, O God, to have praise in Zion: to you let the offering be made.

1 Praise waiteth for thee in silence, OGod, in Zion; and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

2O thou that hearest prayer, Unto thee shall all flesh come.

2To you, O hearer of prayer, let the words of all flesh come.

2 O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

3Iniquities prevail against me: As for our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them.

3Evils have overcome us: but as for our sins, you will take them away.

3 Iniquities have prevailed against me: our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them.

4Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, That he may dwell in thy courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, Thy holy temple.

4Happy is the man of your selection, to whom you give a resting-place in your house; we will be full of the good things out of your holy place.

4 Blessed is he whom thou choosest and causest to approach: he shall dwell in thy courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, of thy holy temple.

5By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, Thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of them that are afar off upon the sea:

5You will give us an answer in righteousness by great acts of power, O God of our salvation; you who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off lands of the sea;

5 By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, OGod of our salvation, thou confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of the distant regions of the sea. ...

6Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains, Being girded about with might;

6The God by whose strength the mountains are fixed; who is robed with power:

6 Who by his strength established the mountains, being girded with power;

7Who stilleth the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.

7Who makes the loud voice of the sea quiet, and puts an end to the sound of its waves.

7 Who stilleth the raging of the seas, the raging of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples.

8They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

8Those in the farthest parts of the earth have fear when they see your signs: the outgoings of the morning and evening are glad because of you.

8 And they that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens; thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

9Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it, Thou greatly enrichest it; The river of God is full of water: Thou providest them grain, when thou hast so prepared the earth.

9You have given your blessing to the earth, watering it and making it fertile; the river of God is full of water: and having made it ready, you give men grain.

9 Thou hast visited the earth, thou hast watered it; thou greatly enrichest it: the river ofGod is full of water; thou providest their corn, when thou hast so prepared it:

10Thou waterest its furrows abundantly; Thou settlest the ridges thereof: Thou makest it soft with showers; Thou blessest the springing thereof.

10You make the ploughed lands full of water; you make smooth the slopes: you make the earth soft with showers, sending your blessing on its growth.

10 Thou dost satiate its furrows, thou smoothest its clods, thou makest it soft with showers; thou blessest the springing thereof.

11Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; And thy paths drop fatness.

11The year is crowned with the good you give; life-giving rain is dropping from your footsteps,

11 Thou crownest the year with thy goodness, and thy paths drop fatness:

12They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness; And the hills are girded with joy.

12Falling on the grass of the waste land: and the little hills are glad on every side.

12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness, and the hills are girded with gladness.

13The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered over with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.

13The grass-land is thick with flocks; the valleys are full of grain; they give glad cries and songs of joy.

13 The meadows are clothed with flocks, and the valleys are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, yea, they sing.
