1Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion; And unto thee shall the vow be performed.
1Praise is waiting for you, O God, in Zion; we will fulfill our promises to you.
2O thou that hearest prayer, Unto thee shall all flesh come.
2Because you hear our prayers, all people will come to you.
3Iniquities prevail against me: As for our transgressions, thou wilt forgive them.
3When my sins overwhelm me, you are the one who forgives our wrongs.
4Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, That he may dwell in thy courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, Thy holy temple.
4How happy is the person you choose and bring near to live in your courtyards! We will be satisfied with the good things of your house, your holy temple.
5By terrible things thou wilt answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation, Thou that art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of them that are afar off upon the sea:
5You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, O God our Savior; people all over the earth and across the distant seas put their trust in you.
6Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains, Being girded about with might;
6By your power you formed the mountains, showing your great strength.
7Who stilleth the roaring of the seas, The roaring of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.
7You silence the roaring of the oceans, the crashing of their waves, and the shouting of the nations.
8They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
8People living in the farthest places stand in awe of your miracles; you make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.
9Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it, Thou greatly enrichest it; The river of God is full of water: Thou providest them grain, when thou hast so prepared the earth.
9You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. God’s river is always full of water to provide people with grain, for that is how you prepared the land.
10Thou waterest its furrows abundantly; Thou settlest the ridges thereof: Thou makest it soft with showers; Thou blessest the springing thereof.
10You soak the plowed furrows and level out the ridges; you soften the ground with showers and bless the young crops.
11Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; And thy paths drop fatness.
11You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard paths overflow with plenty.微
