Psalms 148

1Praise ye Jehovah. Praise ye Jehovah from the heavens: Praise him in the heights.

1Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights above.

2Praise ye him, all his angels: Praise ye him, all his host.

2Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly armies.

3Praise ye him, sun and moon: Praise him, all ye stars of light.

3Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.

4Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, And ye waters that are above the heavens.

4Praise him, highest heavens, and the waters that are above the skies.

5Let them praise the name of Jehovah; For he commanded, and they were created.

5Let them all praise the name of the LORD, for he gave the command and they were created.

6He hath also established them for ever and ever: He hath made a decree which shall not pass away.

6He set them in their places forever and ever; he made a decree that will never pass away.

7Praise Jehovah from the earth, Ye sea-monsters, and all deeps;

7Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all the ocean depths.

8Fire and hail, snow and vapor; Stormy wind, fulfilling his word;

8Lightning and hail, snow and clouds, and stormy winds that do what he says.

9Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars;

9Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedar trees.

10Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and flying birds;

10Wild animals and all livestock, small crawling creatures and birds.

11Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth;

11Kings of the earth and all nations, princes and all rulers on earth.

12Both young men and virgins; Old men and children:

12Young men and young women, old people and children together.

13Let them praise the name of Jehovah; For his name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and the heavens.

13Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is great; his glory is higher than the earth and the heavens.

14And he hath lifted up the horn of his people, The praise of all his saints; Even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye Jehovah.

14He has made his people strong, which is a reason for all his faithful ones to praise him—even the people of Israel, who are close to him. Praise the LORD!
