Psalms 147

1Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem: praise thy God, O Sion.

1Praise ye Jah! For <FI>it is<Fi> good to praise our God, For pleasant--comely <FI>is<Fi> praise.

2Because he hath strengthened the bolts of thy gates, he hath blessed thy children within thee.

2Building Jerusalem <FI>is<Fi> Jehovah, The driven away of Israel He gathereth.

3Who hath placed peace in thy borders: and filleth thee with the fat of corn.

3Who is giving healing to the broken of heart, And is binding up their griefs.

4Who sendeth forth his speech to the earth: his word runneth swiftly.

4Appointing the number of the stars, To all them He giveth names.

5Who giveth snow like wool: scattereth mists like ashes.

5Great <FI>is<Fi> our Lord, and abundant in power, Of His understanding there is no narration.

6He sendeth his crystal like morsels: who shall stand before the face of his cold?

6Jehovah is causing the meek to stand, Making low the wicked unto the earth.

7He shall send out his word, and shall melt them: his wind shall blow, and the waters shall run.

7Answer ye to Jehovah with thanksgiving, Sing ye to our God with a harp.

8Who declareth his word to Jacob: his justices and his judgments to Israel.

8Who is covering the heavens with clouds, Who is preparing for the earth rain, Who is causing grass to spring up <FI>on<Fi> mountains,

9He hath not done in like manner to every nation: and his judgments he hath not made manifest to them. Alleluia.

9Giving to the beast its food, To the young of the ravens that call.
