1Praise ye Jah! Praise, O my soul, Jehovah.
1Alleluia. Praise ye the Lord, because psalm is good: to our God be joyful and comely praise.
2I praise Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist.
2The Lord buildeth up Jerusalem: he will gather together the dispersed of Israel.
3Trust not in princes--in a son of man, For he hath no deliverance.
3Who healeth the broken of heart, and bindeth up their bruises.
4His spirit goeth forth, he returneth to his earth, In that day have his thoughts perished.
4Who telleth the number of the stars: and calleth them all by their names.
5O the happiness of him Who hath the God of Jacob for his help, His hope <FI>is<Fi> on Jehovah his God,
5Great is our Lord, and great is his power: and of his wisdom there is no number.
6Making the heavens and earth, The sea and all that <FI>is<Fi> in them, Who is keeping truth to the age,
6The Lord lifteth up the meek, and bringeth the wicked down even to the ground.
7Doing judgment for the oppressed, Giving bread to the hungry.
7Sing ye to the Lord with praise: sing to our God upon the harp.
8Jehovah is loosing the prisoners, Jehovah is opening (the eyes of) the blind, Jehovah is raising the bowed down, Jehovah is loving the righteous,
8Who covereth the heaven with clouds, and prepareth rain for the earth. Who maketh grass to grow on the mountains, and herbs for the service of men.
9Jehovah is preserving the strangers, The fatherless and widow He causeth to stand, And the way of the wicked He turneth upside down.
9Who giveth to beasts their food: and to the young ravens that call upon him.
