1Unto the end, a psalm of David. Lord, thou hast proved me, and known me:
1 I will give thee thanks with my whole heart; before thegods will I sing psalms of thee.
1By David. I confess Thee, with all my heart, Before the gods I do praise Thee.
2Thou hast known my sitting down, and my rising up.
2 I will bow down toward the temple of thy holiness, and celebrate thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
2I bow myself toward Thy holy temple, And I confess Thy name, For Thy kindness, and for Thy truth, For Thou hast made great Thy saying above all Thy name.
3Thou hast understood my thoughts afar off: my path and my line thou hast searched out.
3 In the day when I called thou answeredst me; thou didst encourage me with strength in my soul.
3In the day I called, when Thou dost answer me, Thou dost strengthen me in my soul <FI>with<Fi> strength.
4And thou hast foreseen all my ways: for there is no speech in my tongue.
4 All the kings of the earth shall celebrate thee, Jehovah, when they have heard the words of thy mouth;
4O Jehovah, all kings of earth confess Thee, When they have heard the sayings of Thy mouth.
5Behold, O Lord, thou hast known all things, the last and those of old: thou hast formed me, and hast laid thy hand upon me.
5 And they shall sing in the ways of Jehovah, for great is the glory of Jehovah.
5And they sing in the ways of Jehovah, For great <FI>is<Fi> the honour of Jehovah.
6Thy knowledge is become wonderful to me: it is high, and I cannot reach to it.
6 For Jehovah is high; but he looketh upon the lowly, and the proud he knoweth afar off.
6For high <FI>is<Fi> Jehovah, and the lowly He seeth, And the haughty from afar He knoweth.
7Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy face?
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the anger of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
7If I walk in the midst of distress Thou quickenest me, Against the anger of mine enemies Thou sendest forth Thy hand, And Thy right hand doth save me.
8If I ascend into heaven, thou art there: if I descend into hell, thou art present.
8 Jehovah will perfect what concerneth me: thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, [endureth] for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.
8Jehovah doth perfect for me, O Jehovah, Thy kindness <FI>is<Fi> to the age, The works of Thy hands let not fall!
9If I take my wings early in the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea:

10Even there also shall thy hand lead me: and thy right hand shall hold me.

11And I said: Perhaps darkness shall cover me: and night shall be my light in my pleasures.

12But darkness shall not be dark to thee, and night shall be light all the day: the darkness thereof, and the light thereof are alike to thee.

13For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast protected me from my mother's womb.

14I will praise thee, for thou art fearfully magnified: wonderful are thy works, and my soul knoweth right well.

16Thy eyes did see my imperfect being, and in thy book all shall be written: days shall be formed, and no one in them.

17But to me thy friends, O God, are made exceedingly honourable: their principality is exceedingly strengthened.

18I will number them, and they shall be multiplied above the sand, I rose up and am still with thee.

19If thou wilt kill the wicked, O God: ye men of blood, depart from me:

20Because you say in thought: They shall receive thy cities in vain.

21Have I not hated them, O Lord, that hated thee: and pined away because of thy enemies?

22I have hated them with a perfect hatred: and they are become enemies to me.
