Psalms 128

1Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, That walketh in his ways.

1Everyone who respects the LORD and lives according to his ways is truly blessed.

2For thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands: Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

2You will enjoy the food produced by your own hard work; you will be happy, and things will go well for you.

3Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine, In the innermost parts of thy house; Thy children like olive plants, Round about thy table.

3Your wife will be like a productive grapevine within your home; your children will be like young olive trees gathered around your table.

4Behold, thus shall the man be blessed That feareth Jehovah.

4This is how the person who respects the LORD will be blessed.

5Jehovah bless thee out of Zion: And see thou the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

5May the LORD bless you from Zion, and may you see Jerusalem prosper as long as you live.

6Yea, see thou thy children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.

6May you live to see your grandchildren. May there be peace on Israel.
