Psalms 126

1When Jehovah brought back those that returned to Zion, We were like unto them that dream.

1When the LORD brought the captives back to Zion, it felt like we were dreaming.

2Then was our mouth filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing: Then said they among the nations, Jehovah hath done great things for them.

2Our mouths were filled with laughter and our tongues with songs of joy. Then the other nations said, "The LORD has done great things for them."

3Jehovah hath done great things for us, Whereofwe are glad.

3Yes, the LORD has done great things for us, and we are full of joy.

4Turn again our captivity, O Jehovah, As the streams in the South.

4Restore our fortunes, LORD, like streams filling the dry riverbeds in the desert.

5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

5Those who plant their seeds in tears will harvest their crops with shouts of joy.

6He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

6Those who go out weeping as they carry their seed will surely return with songs of joy, carrying their harvest with them.
