Psalms 125

1They that trust in Jehovah Are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.

1Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but stands firm forever.

2As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, So Jehovah is round about his people From this time forth and for evermore.

2Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, the LORD surrounds his people, both now and forever.

3For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; That the righteous put not forth their hands unto iniquity.

3The power of the wicked will not stay over the land given to the godly, so that the godly do not start doing what is wrong.

4Do good, O Jehovah, unto those that are good, And to them that are upright in their hearts.

4O LORD, do good to those who are good and to those who are honest in their hearts.

5But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, Jehovah will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.

5But as for those who turn to dishonest ways, the LORD will lead them away with those who do evil. May peace be upon Israel.
