1Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
1Give ye thanks to Jehovah, For good, for to the age <FI>is<Fi> His kindness.
1O give praise to the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy is unchanging for ever.
2 Oh let Israel say, that his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
2I pray you, let Israel say, That, to the age <FI>is<Fi> His kindness.
2Let Israel now say, that his mercy is unchanging for ever.
3 Oh let the house of Aaron say, that his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
3I pray you, let the house of Aaron say, That, to the age <FI>is<Fi> His kindness.
3Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy is unchanging for ever.
4 Oh let them that fear Jehovah say, that his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
4I pray you, let those fearing Jehovah say, That, to the age <FI>is<Fi> His kindness.
4Let all worshippers of the Lord now say, that his mercy is unchanging for ever.
5 I called upon Jah in distress; Jah answered me [and set me] in a large place.
5From the straitness I called Jah, Jah answered me in a broad place.
5I made my prayer to the Lord in my trouble: and the Lord gave me an answer, and put me in a wide place.
6 Jehovah is for me, I will not fear; what can man do unto me?
6Jehovah <FI>is<Fi> for me, I do not fear what man doth to me.
6The Lord is on my side; I will have no fear: what is man able to do to me?
7 Jehovah is for me among them that help me; and I shall see [my desire] upon them that hate me.
7Jehovah <FI>is<Fi> for me among my helpers, And I--I look on those hating me.
7The Lord is my great helper: I will see my desire against my haters.
8 It is better to trust in Jehovah than to put confidence in man;
8Better to take refuge in Jehovah than to trust in man,
8It is better to have faith in the Lord than to put one's hope in man.
9 It is better to trust in Jehovah than to put confidence in nobles.
9Better to take refuge in Jehovah, Than to trust in princes.
9It is better to have faith in the Lord than to put one's hope in rulers.
10 All nations encompassed me; but in the name of Jehovah have I destroyed them.
10All nations have compassed me about, In the name of Jehovah I surely cut them off.
10All the nations have come round me; but in the name of the Lord I will have them cut down.
11 They encompassed me, yea, encompassed me; but in the name of Jehovah have I destroyed them.
11They have compassed me about, Yea, they have compassed me about, In the name of Jehovah I surely cut them off.
11They are round me, yes, they are all about me; but in the name of the Lord I will have them cut down.
12 They encompassed me like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of Jehovah have I destroyed them.
12They compassed me about as bees, They have been extinguished as a fire of thorns, In the name of Jehovah I surely cut them off.
12They are round me like bees; but they are put out like a fire among thorns; for in the name of the Lord I will have them cut down.
13 Thou hast thrust hard at me that I might fall; but Jehovah helped me.
13Thou hast sorely thrust me to fall, And Jehovah hath helped me.
13I have been hard pushed by you, so that I might have a fall: but the Lord was my helper.
14 My strength and song is Jah, and he is become my salvation.
14My strength and song <FI>is<Fi> Jah, And He is to me for salvation.
14The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
15 The voice of triumph and salvation is in the tents of the righteous: the right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly;
15A voice of singing and salvation, <FI>Is<Fi> in the tents of the righteous, The right hand of Jehovah is doing valiantly.
15The sound of joy and salvation is in the tents of the upright; the right hand of the Lord does works of power.
16 The right hand of Jehovah is exalted, the right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly.
16The right hand of Jehovah is exalted, The right hand of Jehovah is doing valiantly.
16The right hand of the Lord is lifted up; the right hand of the Lord does works of power.
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of Jah.
17I do not die, but live, And recount the works of Jah,
17Life and not death will be my part, and I will give out the story of the works of the Lord.
18 Jah hath chastened me sore; but he hath not given me over unto death.
18Jah hath sorely chastened me, And to death hath not given me up.
18The hand of Jah has been hard on me; but he has not given me up to death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will enter into them; Jah will I praise.
19Open ye to me gates of righteousness, I enter into them--I thank Jah.
19Let the doors of righteousness be open to me; I will go in and give praise to the Lord.
20 This is the gate of Jehovah: the righteous shall enter therein.
20This <FI>is<Fi> the gate to Jehovah, The righteous enter into it.
20This is the door of the Lord's house; the workers of righteousness will go in through it.
21 I will give thee thanks, for thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation.
21I thank Thee, for Thou hast answered me, And art to me for salvation.
21I will give you praise, for you have given me an answer, and have become my salvation.
22 [The] stone which the builders rejected hath become the head of the corner:
22A stone the builders refused Hath become head of a corner.
22The stone which the builders put on one side has become the chief stone of the building.
23 This is of Jehovah; it is wonderful in our eyes.
23From Jehovah hath this been, It <FI>is<Fi> wonderful in our eyes,
23This is the Lord's doing; it is a wonder in our eyes.
24 This is the day that Jehovah hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
24This <FI>is<Fi> the day Jehovah hath made, We rejoice and are glad in it.
24This is the day which the Lord has made; we will be full of joy and delight in it.
25 Oh save, Jehovah, I beseech thee; Jehovah, I beseech thee, oh send prosperity!
25I beseech Thee, O Jehovah, save, I pray Thee, I beseech Thee, O Jehovah, prosper, I pray Thee.
25Send salvation now, O Lord; Lord, send us your blessing.
26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of Jehovah. We have blessed you out of the house of Jehovah.
26Blessed <FI>is<Fi> he who is coming In the name of Jehovah, We blessed you from the house of Jehovah,
26A blessing be on him who comes in the name of the Lord; we give you blessing from the house of the Lord.
27 Jehovah isGod, and he hath given us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, — up to the horns of the altar.
27God <FI>is<Fi> Jehovah, and He giveth to us light, Direct ye the festal-sacrifice with cords, Unto the horns of the altar.
27The Lord is God, and he has given us light; let the holy dance be ordered with branches, even up to the horns of the altar.
