Psalms 115

1Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.

1Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name let glory be given, because of your mercy and your unchanging faith.

1I have believed, therefore have I spoken; but I have been humbled exceedingly.

2Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

2Why may the nations say, Where is now their God?

2I said in my excess: Every man is a liar.

3But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

3What shall I render to the Lord, for all the things that he hath rendered to me?

7O Lord, for I am thy servant: I am thy servant, and the son of thy handmaid. Thou hast broken my bonds:

8They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

8Those who make them are like them; and so is everyone who puts his faith in them.

8I will sacrifice to thee the sacrifice of praise, and I will call upon the name of the Lord.

9O Israel, trust thou in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.

9I will pay my vows to the Lord in the sight of all his people:

10O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.
